Coming to the Sabres front office? I never really liked the guy. He was a good hockey player but I don’t think that automatically makes you a good front office man. Also in my typical “the world has it out for Buffalo” attitude I think he rooked us a few times when he was with the league office.
So was Rochester the higher seed? If so, I think I would have picked 2 on the road and then 3 at home. I have to believe I could get a split at Laval and then only need 2 out of 3 at home, no?
How many games will the series against Laval be?
Is this Rochester team built for the playoffs? Lots of depth, lots of speed, some toughness? I’ll throw in (dare I say it) good coaching?!
Wouldn’t it be interesting if we could have GM Timmy bring in the high end talent (ie Reinhart, Eichel, O’Reilly) and let KA bring in the third and fourth line. That team might look pretty good.
Is it me, or do the Sabres allow milestone events at an alarming rate every year. I can remember this ever since I was a kid. Does it happen to other teams at the same pace, or it’s just Sabre-y?

man we’ve had some bad injury luck over the years. This article ends with a good question…what other Sabres’ careers have been shortened by injury?
Mine is Jan Ludvig…when we got him from NJ I thought he was going to be pretty good!
