I would trade just about any prospect we have and have no issue trading our #11 overall pick.

The one guy I wouldn’t move right now is Wahlberg because his overall package is so different from anything else they have.

But the other top prospects and #11 are on the table for the right impact player.

I'd bet that Ottawa is talking to one or both of them as well and they might be more inclined to go there with that team roster more closely aligned with their philosophies. Adams would also not want to get into a bidding war or get used in a negotiation. Sabres aren't exactly in a good position to come out a winner in those.

Staios has different connections. Wouldn’t be surprised if it is the coach of the Marlies, Gruden.

That was the point. Why are we paying players that much to play in rochester. Also Comrie was there when we had the 3 headed monster until someone grew the balls to send Levi down. They are all ONE WAY Contracts..... i know, not my money, but seems like a waste to me.

Every team has these tweeners. They are NHL depth that can play when injuries occur over an 82 game season.

I don’t see it as egregious. The Marlies won a Calder Cup with a lineup that rivalled some NHL payrolls.

Adams needs to look at Rosen, Kulich, Östlund, and Savoie this offseason and decide which two he is keeping and then use the other two to improve the actual NHL roster while they are still young high end prospects. There is no future roster that makes sense with Tage, Quinn, JJP, Benson, Cozens, and then all 4 of the listed guys above. The time to make a decision on them is now, Östlund I could stand waiting a full NA year on before deciding anything but Kulich, Rosen, and Savoie we have a pretty good idea of what they are. The GM needs to project out who he wants and then package the spare to improve the actual NHL talent on the team. My pick is Rosen as a part of a package.

There is also Wahlberg coming who adds a completely different game compared to the others. Neuchev is really developing too.

They could move two of Kulich, Rosen, Savoie or Östlund and this year’s first pick and still be in good shape up front prospect wise.

You only move them for quality NHL players that fill real needs though.

I don't think all of them were truly interviewed. They wanted Ruff and got Ruff.

Yep. It was always going to be Ruff. And I’m fine with it.

If you decide this is the house you want to buy you don’t need to look at 30 more. Just put an offer in.

I didn’t see any of the other candidates as head and shoulders above Ruff. Berube and Gallant were the best alternatives and they each came with different warts as well.

Ruff could bring what they do but has the added Buffalo history aspect to the equation.

Pegula could be sold on him, Adams knows and can work with him and it gives some good PR to a fan base that is desperate for it.

I'm not going to stay up for it, but the third in the Avs/Jets game is likely to be good. The second period had some of the pace of the first game and now the Jets are down by two.

Georgiev has not been good but Hellebuyck has been equally bad so far this series.

Demko injured and Desmith has not been up to the task tonight so far against the Preds. Worst nightmare for a team when the franchise goalie goes down in Game 1 of the playoffs.

  7. OK, coach is hired, vibes, accountability talk.

The real work needs to begin.

Step 1: Fill out the staff with quality NHL level coaches

Step 2: Identify what pieces Ruff feels are missing from the lineup. A checking line with some energy and grit is a must. Centre that can win key draws. Sounds like Lindy wants an enforcer type he can move in and out of the lineup.

Step 3: Adams needs to step up and get these pieces. Prospects and draft picks need to be on the table for quality NHL players

You can tell by Adams demeanour today that he knows his ass is over the fire and he better deliver.
