Where would someone find a comprehensive list of NHLers that have had the same surgery Kane underwent?  Serious question.  I’ve seen posts indicating that 3 or 4 recent players that underwent the same procedure retired shortly after.  How many players are we talking?  And how many were in serious decline not related to the surgery?

Also is it possible that the quality/success rate of the procedure has been improved through medical advancements since the people who keep getting mentioned had it done?

Kyle and Zemgus were as big a whiff as any move/lack of move this summer too. They have fallen off a cliff. They get sent out there to play defense - and it sure is all they do! Putting them out after we score, or after the other team scores, simply guarantees that the momentum will go towards the other team, they will get a nice shift to practice their offensive zone play

"But don't you realize that if we go out and get a few vets who are good at hockey and help win games you are blocking spots that need to be handed to them without being earned while complicating our cap picture in 2029? WHY WON'T YOU BE PATIENT???"

Hey all you whiners, you are watching a rested home team against a team that played a tough game last night.  It’s not gonna be pretty.  We will have to steal any points we get tonight.

    Don’t jump ship.

Yeah, that was us last night and we  somehow won through dumb luck despite stinking the joint out as bad as we are tonight.

They are playing like the youngest team in the league. KAs mix is off. He needs a dash more seasoned vet(still capable of playing the game) a pinch more grit and leave the development of the youngsters in the AHL. Its high time this squad started winning no ?

This has nothing to do with youth and everything to do with effort (or lack of). They are the exact opposite of the Nolan era "Hardest Working Team In Hockey": constantly outhustled and outworked.

Back to the topic of this thread, would estimate that though the crowd showed up late once again, there were probably 16k in the building.  (Nearly full in the 300's; with several sections in the 100's full and all at least 80% full; even the 200's weren't sparely populated.)  With well over 90% of those in attendance cheering (or at least they would've, were there anything to cheer for) the guys in red and black.

There were a TON of youth hockey groups in the building.  Everything was set up to help attendance at future games and they flat out laid an egg.  Just like they did in the opener which also was very well attended.

Know it's extreme, but want to see them make the team stay in a hotel Thursday night and treat the entire day on Friday like they were in Minny rather than the other way around.  They have to get this home ice issue solved.

There was a huge youth tourney this week at HarborCenter and my rep said 17k tickets were out as of that morning.
