    I agree with your sentiment, but it was clearly not happening. Not when the Dems were the minority party and not when the GOP is/was. This change, for now, only impacts Presidential appointments. Legislation is still subjected to the same old, same old BS. The Senate as an institution is broken. They have long ago lost their ability to compromise and wishing it were so doesn't/wont make it so.

    Hey did you see Reid went nuclear in the Senate? I'm all for the change. The Senate is one of THE biggest reasons for grid lock in DC. Should be interesting to watch the fallout in the next few election cycles.

    I think I would go for Christie, knowing what I know today. That opinion could change based on what he says/does during the primary season. For example, if he were to pick a Sarah Palin-type running, I would drop him in a NY minute. That type of decision that McCain made completely turned me against him.

    Christie would be interesting in that he could turn NJ red. That alone would make for some interesting dynamics. He would also get major coverage in NYC helping there to. Hillary being a NY Sen would make for a very interesting battle in NY for once. Those are the candidates I want to see. Cinton x 2 have enough baggage for the PACS to make for a very interesting campaign AD cycle.
