Exactly!! Not once did he look at all interested to be playing hockey for the Sabres. He looked like a guy playing for a big paycheck. Ryan Fitzpatrick got a huge contract from the Bills, and although he sucked, he gave 110% every Sunday. I can respect that. Ville looked to be going through the motions since day one in Buffalo. Was is mental? Who knows, but to call out the Sabres as the reason is just lame.

Only problem is the weather in WNY is so unpredictable. This past November had more snow and worse conditions than December did. We had a white Thanksgiving, but a green Christmas. And it was mid-November 2014 when Buffalo got 7 feet in places. The weather is a crap shoot from October on in these parts. I have seasons for the Bills so I'd definitely up for that tailgate too if it happened.

Someone from Pittsburgh said it was a done deal, but I have no clue who this guy was. He mentioned it a few times. I don't really believe it, but who knows. Apparently Botterill had an oral agreement with the Pegula's to be the GM over a week ago, so you never know.

They are also all over Twitter saying how it was a great move by the Sabres. I'm very happy with this decision. Not sure if I like the idea of Tocchet as HC though.

This is good news for the Amerks. Botterill seems to already have a long term plan laid out for both teams. I feel a lot better listening to him than I did when Murray was hired.

I love Ovie, but he is not worth nearly that anymore. He will be 32 next season and he has been worn down over the years. He hits more than he scores, and as big and strong as he is, his body can't take that style of play too much longer. He looked worn out these playoffs.

I'm sure Botterill could re-work his contract.
