  1. This is pretty much my thinking. Risto is def better than half as good as EK, but there is a huge gap in between the two.
  2. Who ya got today? My uncle says Always Dreamin. Eddie O said McCkraken the other day. As a long shot I like Thunder Snow. But I'm staying away this year as there is no solid favorite.
  3. I was gonna exclude Risto from that, but decided not too. Rasmus is much more physical and better in that sense, but he faded this year. And I'm sure that was because DB abused him in regards to TOI. He should be much better under a new coach/system.
  4. Unreal.....only in the NHL
  5. Wow, Henrik needs to take a seat on the bench. He is terrible today. And Erik Karlson at 50% is so much better than anyone the Sabres have on D.
  6. True. Maybe they are following the Bill Belichick system of reporting injuries. Ottawa really butt hurt about Glass throwing Turris around last game apparently. Neil is a joke. Doesn't the NFL have a time frame protocol when it comes to concussions? Isn't it at least 7 days with no symptoms or something like that?
  7. How in the is Crosby a game time decision? I know not every concussion is the same, but five days removed and he is ok? With his history I'm very surprised by this.
  8. The old point system. Loser points are, well.....for losers. Letting the players police themselves. Unless the player safety board learns how to suspend players, they are useless.
  9. Five minutes in and Neil tries to get Glass to fight. Tanner laughs at him and says not yet, lol. It's a scorefest so far.
  10. I hope you meant Jack is comparable to Getzlaf?. Although Ryan is bigger and can have a mean streak in him. Since Jack ain't getting any taller, I hope he can start playing more physical than he has in his first two years.
  11. Edmonton is done. The looks on the players faces says it all. They are stunned. And btw, what a goal by Perry. Talk about patience.
  12. Un real.....How does Edmonton recover from that?
  13. Nice fight, best punches landed after the linesman stepped in. Ritchie tagged Kassian good there. +1 This game bout to get ugly
  14. Yes it did. When Murray has to tell Bylsma how to discipline players 70 games into his second season behind the bench? Total dumpster fire. Murray didn't have much feel for what was happening I don't think. A good GM sees problems from day one, Murray had no clue.
  15. The NHL's wish of a Pens/Oil finals is getting closer. As much as I dislike both teams, I think it would be great to watch. Not sure if Pittsburgh would have an answer for Edmontons physical play. Could really be an interesting series, especially if Crosby is back.
  16. Holy headshot Batman. That's a bad hit. Left his feet and elbowed his head into the boards. So naturally, 2 minute minor penalty for charging. This league is so up!!
  17. I assume you're reffering to the bogus call against Lucic resulting in a penalty shot? That isn't even a penalty to most refs, let alone a penalty shot. Terrible call. Damn, wish I watched it all. Tonight I tried watching, didn't keep my attention very long. All I can say is that in the little bit I've seen so far, Ryan Ellis is one hell of a defenseman.
  18. I haven't watched more than 15 minutes of any game in the Blues/Preds series. Definitely the most boring out of the 4. I hope Nashville wins, but......yaaaawn!!!!
  19. I predict Bogo Bunker falls in the backstretch and needs to be shot.
  20. I'm not saying he is a good, or even average player, but when I saw him in person a few times with the Amerks there was just something about his on ice presence that stood out to me. Have to admit I didn't see game 3 of the series, but I watched tonight and he was a force all night. Had 2 assists and pummeled Turris near the end of the game after Kyle went after him. Can he keep this play up? Most likely not, as these type of players only seem to stand out for a few games at a time, but I hope he can. He definitely makes the opposing players aware when he is on the ice....unlike D-Lo.
  21. The Bills are not getting any better with TT at the helm......unless Dennison can work some magic and teach him to stop locking on to his #1 read and taking off if he's not open. I'm at every home game and I can't count the number of times there were guys running wide open down the seam or the sidelines and he ends up taking off running because his first option wasn't open. He needs to scan the field quicker and know exactly where the other routes are going or look to the hot route if he doesn't have any time before tucking and running. And you can never have a good enough O-line IMO. Hopefully they keep getting better which will also help Tyrod.
  22. Worse than D-Lo? And although he may not light up the scoreboard, he energizes his teammates. Something statistics don't show. You.can't tell me he had absolutely nothing to do with the Rangers last two wins.
  23. Seattle Drew. Gotta give a shout out to Seattle Slew just because Billy Turner was his trainer, who also happens to be my mothers cousin. Been a huge horse racing fan my whole life. It definitely is the most exciting two minutes in all of sports. And as of yesterday, Eddie O was leaning towards McCraken to win. Weather may change that between now and post time.
  24. I remember watching Glass play in Rochester after Florida drafted him and saying to myself, this kid is going to be in the NHL. Not the flashiest player on the ice, but also not one of the worst forwards in the league either. Would take him over D-Lo any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Plays full speed 100% of the time and doesn't back down from anyone. Has a little offense to his game too when he wants, but is much better at pumping up his team and fans. Rags 2-0 tying the series since he was inserted into the lineup.
