My comment has nothing to do with Buffalo as a city. Yes, been to St Louis a lot and they have a rabid fan base, a owner that wants to win, a winning culture, and its actually a very nice city too. (As a city it is similar to Buffalo but lacks the beauty of the Great Lakes. They certainly have lots of inner city problems and also many very beautiful and wealthy suburbs)

Happy belated Canada Day! In the past few weeks I spent a day in Vancouver and a day in Victoria while cruising to Alaska. First time in BC and I would go back for sure. Great cities, great province, great people. Be proud. We met several nice Canadians couples on the cruise too.

I suspect Kyrou would hate every day in Buffalo. If he has any control of it he would not agree to Buffalo, although he is friends with Tage.

4 x $6.75 is fair. He cannot expect more than that or he would have been offer sheeted. He played a lot of minutes last season and was our 2nd best player back there. The Owen Power contract is a painful reminder that the GM was not qualified and is learning on the fly. Byram plays one or two years and then gets packaged in the next rebuild.

For me, the biggest issue with the JJP situation is that he was part of Adams original crew of young prospects. One year in the A, a beneficiary of “no blockers”, handed a 2nd line role, played for a coach that sheltered him and “will teach defense next year”, and now he wanted out and refused to negotiate. Just one year with a coach who demanded two-way hockey and he had enough. Maybe the losing contributed, maybe he was tired of the city, maybe all of the above? He refused to negotiate, and that is that. One of Adams chosen ones snubbed him Let hope that Kesserling, Doan, Timmons and Lyon can make a difference. That and the core players all have another good year. And the up and coming players like Kulich and Benson all develop further. The margin for error is zero. Otherwise this thing crashes down and Dahlin, Thompson, and Tuch could all move on.

I can agree to this. But JBD being the 8 was Adams spitballing because they acquired Kesserling and Timmons and Adams already committed money to his boy Bryson. I have high hopes for Kesserling.

Adam’s called him an 8, so he was slotted behind (4) Kesserling, (5) Muel, (6) Timmons, and (7) Bryson. I think Jones was signed after JBD was let go. Last season there were several people on this board that liked JBD as the 4 playing with Power. Some thought he could be the surprise of the Cozens-Norris trade, remember? We shall see soon enough what he does in Detroit. I don’t see any point in worrying about him being gone.
