  1. Just tuned in, how does Nylander look?
  2. No, it isn't. Under the Obama administration the nation debt rose from just under 8.9 trillion dollars in November of 2008 to just under 18.6 trillion dollars in November of 2016. He delivered year over year trillion dollar budgets for 5 of his 8 years in office. He falsly claimed to the American People the ACA was financially neutral, it was in fact, not. He continued the QE programs initiated by the Bush administration, wrote off 100's of billions in bank loses, and did all of this borrowing from my grandchildren and great grandchildren. He did nothing to add jobs, he heavily regulated as a matter of fact costing a net job loss in many industries. He completely failed to protect the American worker attempting to instill new trade deals based on American job losses. This really happened, I watched it happen nation wide. Work slowed, in some cases vanished. I have traveled extensively nation wide, I am sorry if your elitist writings out of New York City or Washington D.C. don't subscribe to the realities in a majority of the nation. But that's on you, for not actually going out there and taking a look at what was actually happening. And while I'm no Trump fan, I do applaud his approach in stabilizing the job market. Many I know are back to work, and it isn't because of Obama.
  3. I've read this, and it is a blatant falsehood. The economy did not, in point of fact, recover under Obama. All he did was turn on the printing presses and flood the economy with cash. Which is directly shown in both the annual deficits and 7 year, 10 trillion dollar national debt explosion. Whether you like it or not, actual "new job creation" began when Obama left office.
  4. So, does this make it official? Are we now the Edmonton Oilers of the Eastern Conference? Me thinks there is solid evidence to support such.
  5. Well, at least we have that going for us ?
  6. Dam, that is a nice incentive contract if I've ever seen one. Hope the kid fully understands what's on the table for him if he performs.
  7. I am honestly disappointed in the way this season has gone, and combine that with what Botterill has put together since his 1st day I heavily question his ability to build a playoff contender, let alone a Cup Contender. Contract years are being wasted, assets are being squandered and sent away under value. I am a die hard Go Sabres guy, not a whole lot will get me to cave in to the slow march to the golf season. I still believe they can make the playoffs, but...………….I am also a realist, that dog don't hunt. Something has to change, as much of a fanatic as I am fan wise, I need to actually see progress by leaps and bounds here. These past 11 years have been a complete disaster for this organization, yes, even the 11 playoff series against Philly, it merely gave false hope and masked the deep seeded issues with this organization to the masses. I am sick and tired of hearing catch phrases like "Trust the Process", or "Were not there yet". No ***** your not there yet. I don't need you, the General Manager to tell my eyes what they already know. Get your ***** together Botterill. I've had enough of this crap, dam near all of us have. /rant
  8. The 2 bolded are linemates no? If so, stick Casey at center.
  9. Job creation is the #1 priority in any long term corrections to the trade deficit imo. You have to give innovation a starting point, and that is job creation. Yes it is true the deficit adjustments aren't where I'd like them to be, however, job growth across the board is up, way up. I am keenly aware it's going to take decades to level the playing field, this is the first Executive administration to do so in my lifetime imo.
  10. Welcome to life as a Buffalo sports fan. I'm near 50, been waiting for a championship my whole life from the Bills or, like yourself, my first love the Sabres. First things first. Being a Sabres/Bills fan has some real life lessons. You become thick skinned. Also, as a bonus, your over all life expectations become more in line with, well, real life. After all, why go after the prom queen when the girl who always sits quietly in the back of the class because she thinks she's not pretty enough is readily available. Job promotions? Why bother going after those, just blend in as one of the workers and collect your weekly stipend that's just enough to keep the heat and lights on. And let us not forget, your "Me Time" starts in mid April, unlike those pesky playoff bound teams. But most important of all, you have plenty of company to feel deflated with, and not only locally. Oh no, these 2 organizations have gifted you with a nation wide network of Buffalo ex-patriots readily available to "TANK" your sports fandom away with a good old fashion, table smashing kegger. So remember, the glass is always half full, even if it is filled with warm Labatt Blue since your fridge is off because you don't make enough to pay the power bill. Enjoy your evening ? Go Sabres!
  11. Meh, not surprised. So, isn't this his 2nd incident? Or no?
  12. Spending a lot of time killing penalties.
  13. Skinner signs, 8.80 x 8 or so Scandella traded Ristolainen traded One of Girgs or Larsson traded or walks Pominville walks Pilut, Olofsson and Nylander make the team
  14. The official indicator that management has shifted in to next season mode.
  15. watch the replay with sound again. Zadarov's hit was most certainly after the whistle, which you can clearly hear a second or 2 before he makes contact, which was in fact, to the head, hence Eichel's helmet coming off.
  16. I'm paying close attention to that as well Brawndo. They brought SJ to OT. So that was a point I didn't want them to have. But at least some other teams moved as well. Philly has an outside shot of catching them, even if small.
  17. Frankly, they can't. They are out of their weight class. Teams in every game know the Sabres are a smaller, non aggressive team. They take full advantage of that.
  18. I don't believe Phil is the problem, nor Jason. I believe the mess left by Tim needs a bit of time to correct. Now Jason should have acted this season, I agree, but I can't really fault him to error on the side of caution. If they don't come out next season as a playoff favorite, fire the owners. In the mean time, UPL records his 6th shut out, recording a 41 of 41 saves. Nylander, Olofsson and O'Regan look promising, and the off season should be fairly telling.
  19. And yet, having both Kane and ROR on this team and the end result WAS ACTUALLY WORSE than this season...………….. Yet, Botterill is the problem. Ok, got it.
  20. It just doesn't matter now. I am no longer focused on the Sabres. I am now focused on St. Louis and where that draft pick ends up. Is it sad? Don't we all know it is? But it's also reality, and living in it is akin to living in hell. My new battle cry...………………………………..Go (insert St. Louis opponent name here on any given night)!!!!
  21. No? You don't say? I jest of course Nitro. I've been banging that drum all season.
  22. yelp, that's the game there. And our sinking to the top 10 in draft picks continues.
  23. Pekar suffered a serious injury this season. And 1 is not nearly enough.
