  1. Shhhhh, don't tell them that lol
  2. That trade will go down in the annals of NHL history as one of the top 3 worst imho. What a straight out cluster ***** this organization is. Just, WOW.
  3. Then we will give them 2 bottom 6 forwards...…. Evan Rodrigues $2 mil AAV RFA and Connor Sheary $3 mil AAV UFA. Quick, to the Bat Phone...…………………. All kidding aside, this is exactly what is needed here in Buffalo imo as well.
  4. If they really want Okposo, I guess we could part with him. ?
  5. Not warranted in my most humbled opinion. None of his punches were equivalent to brain traumatizing, none of his actions were outside the bounds of allowable of a game misconduct and 5 for fighting, again, in my most humbled opinion.
  6. I wouldn't. Pegula doesn't strike me as a 90's guy. He's entrenched in the 70's I suspect. I don't believe Patty will be back, and, as you alluded to, the patch up isn't a reality. Sad? Yea, it is. Following my Gulf War stint, Patty and Molginy ignited that Sabres passion I had put aside for 4 years. It was something special to watch the replays, I never got to see them live, which just tore at my hockey heart. I got to see the French Connection, Gare, the 80's, and, after 96, Dom, Drury/Briere, up to the current day. It was just that magic between those 2 I never got to see. So yea, it is sad, truly.
  7. You got that right. I didn't like the Kane trade, the Gorges trade, the Vanek trade and that horrible McNabb / Fasching trade in the past 5 years or so. The ROR trade was pretty square up, ROR was a true worthy positional acquisition by Murray. Sounds like Pegula's unwillingness to pay the bonus made it a net negative on losing him. But yea, losing all those assets hurt, combined, with what you point out often, inability to draft well. I agree with your overall view of the team by the way, hope that doesn't surprise you.
  8. Ummm, I'm going to say yes, he should. You want to play "old school" heavy hockey, then be prepared to answer the bell when you do so. Players aren't robots, they have emotion, and going after Kassian with the heavy physical checks Tkachuk threw, yea, he's going to have to man up and answer the bell for that, and Kassian made sure he did, rightfully so.
  9. I'd like this kid to come back for our bottom 6.
  10. scouts...…... SCOUTS!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Girgensons? Sure, why not LOL
  12. Yelp, I've had my one or two seasonal disappointment outbursts. It's now time to get back to the business of being a fan. Once again, in to the breach, dear friends...………………. Go Sabres!!!
  13. UPL looking good in the E, maybe it translates to the A and allows him to further his development. Hoping that is the case. UPL and Mittlestadt in the same uniform, on the same roster...……………..is this what the future of the Sabres looks like?
  14. I agree with you. If we had drafted well this past decade, we'd be in a different position.
  15. That is a good portion of the problem I agree, and I've been saying such for quite awhile now. Size with snarl is lacking, in a big way.
  16. You haven't figured it out yet, have you? This draft doesn't mean *****. The entire roster except Eichel is garbage. Including Dahlin. I mean, really man, that's just complete honesty. By the time your precious draft picks come of age, Eichel will be long gone. And the losing culture will continue because Pegula doesn't have a clue what he is doing. That is based on plenty of precedence already.
  17. It's time for Botterill to go. This is beyond embarrassing, beyond a failed rebuild. I've said it consistently, and I'll say it again, there is an expectation to lose here in Buffalo. It's culture, it's simply a losing culture. Terry Pegula, your product sucks donkey dick. You have taken Sabres hockey to such a low level of excepting losses that it boggles the imagination.
  18. Just another sad season. How many more lay before us?
  19. quick someone, what's our record when Girgenson's scores?
  20. That is all on Buffalo's lackadaisical inability to want possession of the puck. They look lazy.
  21. No question on why it is struggling. The only question I have is why did Botterill re-sign/qualify some of this fodder and why didn't he go harder in FA this post off season for players that would have been upgrades? Is it, as some have lamented, Botterill's inability to assess talent, chemistry and a lack of a true vision for a plan?
  22. NY is getting very restrictive on many fronts, that is true. Yes, there are Tornado's every month, of every year in the United States, that is true. And yes, the warm moist air from the gulf meeting the dry warm air sliding off the rockies forms supercells that create many of those tornado's. Texas does have the most Tornado's annually, yes, Kansas has the most active and Alabama and I believe one other state have the most F5's, but yes, Texas has the most. Utah is beautiful, both North and South. Highly recommend the Ogden area, Provo/Orem corridor, Moab or around St. George. I spent many years along the front range, from Texas/New Mexico all the way up to Wyoming/Montana and everywhere in between. Your statements are correct.
