Taylor Hall signing: 8 million one yr with Sabres
Scottysabres replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Well, color me shocked. Good 1 year deal. So, who's on their way out? -
I'm no BRWANDO when it comes to info on this, but there's information from some guy on Roslivic? Trade being worked on for the Jets. McYntire or McIntyre the source name is. Edit: Mike McIntyre Folks say he broke the Stastny trade. His Twitter post says Vegas clearing space for Pieterangelo? Schmidt name involved.

Not surprising at all on his comment regarding the tough times in Buffalo. As for the GM situation, not surprising either. Good luck to him though.
-
Why is Cousins in that line up? There's been no confirmed statement from the organization he will definitely be in Buffalo for the up coming season.
-
But, if applying the concept of the "concept of" theory, are we not allowing ourselves the concept of "concept of" to become a concept of our views on "concept of"? Asking for the concept of a friend.... Thanks. I'll hang up now as Schopp and Bulldogs heads mimic a concept of exploding......

Given the comments in the past that the Pegulas want players that "want to be here", I have come to the conclusion that Kahun expressed a desire to test the market and they honored that. That's really the only conclusion I have come to at this time. But who knows.

Funny, and very depressing. But no worries, I have my Cody Eakin bobble head order form to cheer me up.........

Got themselves a Stanley Cup champion.

Brandon Montour signs new deal with Sabres 1 year 3.85 Million
Scottysabres replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Got to be a trade coming now that the 4 RHD's are under contract, no? -
After all these seasons of pain, losing any of these players outside of maybe 4 of them should be cause for celebration in my view. I'm not the least bit concerned over any of them leaving Buffalo, and that includes Jack, to he honest. After watching near 50 years of no cup, that is my only interest at this time. I could care less what players get it here. The clock is ticking, and I taint gettin' any younger.......so, Kevin Adams, step up to the plate, Batter Up!

Sabres fans getting their panties in a bunch over losing Larsson to FA. L. O. L

Love the Jed Clampett analogy 🙂 But I am not convinced the stunning failure of not merely success, but even the appearance of upward mobility on progress with the Sabres are singularly on the Pegulas. Yes, I know, they are the owners, they put the management team in place, and so on. But those management team members and "players" (let's not forget their role in this) also share the burden of outcome, especially the last 2 season's, both of which I might add, they came out of the gate with heavy successful season starts. And why do I say this you might ask? Especially given the dismal entire record of Pegulas ownership tenure? Because they've proven they can take an inept sports product and turn it in to a successfully winning product. I would like at this time to offer the Buffalo Bills as evidence.
-
I'm still with the Pegulas Tom. He's made glaring errors in management hiring to be sure, and some of that is reflected in the on ice product. His passion however is unquestionable. He'll figure it out.

Should the Sabres Claim Tyler Johnson from Waivers?
Scottysabres replied to nfreeman's topic in The Aud Club
In an immediate vacuum he seems like a good choice, but, as he ages, will the gameplay remain consistent? Eichel has 6 years left, I am inclined to turn away from a player on the backside of peak career, but I completely understand the opportunity. I guess I'm just hoping for better. -
I think they knew their D would have to be addressed to move forward. Brodie should be a slight upgrade based on his play style (thank you NHL package for all those Calgary and Edmonton games I got to watch). 5 mil, meh, it's nothing for the Leafs, if the player works out.
-
Leafs land Brodie, good on them.

Sabres could be targeting Toffoli, Fast and Korpisalo
Scottysabres replied to The Jokeman's topic in The Aud Club
We just inked Irwin to a 1yr 1way deal, so ya, I'm going to say this news almost made it move.... Almost 😄 Page 14, paragraph 2, The Life of a Sabres fan.... -
I'll just leave this here and see my way out..... https://www.ontheforecheck.com/2020/10/1/21453770/2019-20-nashville-predators-player-report-cards-season-review-matt-irwin-korbinian-holzer

I caught the Calgary chatter to. Don't know about the player but ya, can never have enough 4th liners 😉
-
My guess is one of the RHD's, Miller or Risto. Both Borgen and Fitzgerald are 23, with cost control due to Covid appearing to be in play I can see Borgen ready to come up. McCabe is another one I can see getting moved. LHD, but just a bunch. As for forwards, slim pickings, Asplund, maybe another. That's really all I got.
-
I am anticipating some trades by the Sabres between now and Friday. Given the Eichel frustration, the Botterill / Adams turnover, the covid unknowns and possibility of the rumored internal cap, I can see movement coming.
-
The future is an unknown at this time when it comes to covid. The impact on owners is being felt nearly league wide as financial projections are out the window as of now I'd imagine. This could be a huge factor playing in to not only Kahun's situation, but the multitude of serviceable NHL players we see not being qualified I'd guess.
-
I like this pick. A RW'er for Cozens, in about 3 years, about the same time we'll be trading Jack...... To soon? 😄
-
Not sure where I got mine from, but my neighbor with the giant Maple Leafs flag is my prime suspect.
-
Given the winger and 2nd line situation with regards to the Sabres (actually the overall forward scenario, but I figure I'd be specific), would goalie be considered a core target of the Sabres? Just spifballin' some thoughts is all.
