That play, right there, the one where the Buffalo player could have continued the pressure way down low by the Capitals net, but decided to back off, that is a big problem. They are coached that way, that is not pressure, that is playing scared, playing conservative, that won't win you games.

Washington's compete, hunger, skating, stick handling and puck possession is light years ahead of the Sabres.

Darling and RJ are all i've ever known on an overwhelming scale, it will be tough to let go. I find RJ's voice soothing, even during the down years, even if he's off in to outer space, I don't care, just to have his voice over on the TV, I can't let that go, not yet.

The Sabres are doing what the Sabres have done for 9 seasons now to be honest. Not much has changed on a good portion of the roster, no hunger in the players play, it's been the same for years I'm afraid.

Going about the way I expected. No puck possession by the Sabres, been the same problem for quite some time 5 v 5 now. Same Defense, same chaotic lack of puck control, same desperate look, same goaltending = same results. Well, first game in, my optimism is fading quickly already to be honest. I mean, if you can't get up the energy and get it together for your season opener which happens to be a home opener, then I got nothing...............

So, if Skinner cannot, or will not practise and implement the team principles successfully, do they ask him to waive his NMC and expose him to the expansion draft, try and trade him or just sit 9 mil aav in the press box for a good number of years? I guess I'm not understanding where Skinner goes from here if he cannot acclimate to the team principles.

Ravens DB's are weak, they leave a lot in the middle open playing zone. Allen will exploit this. Their front 4 are good at the pass rush, I expect a big battle on the line trenches. Their pass game flows with Jackson's ability to scramble, much like Josh. Their receivers are nothing special. Their run game is similar to the Colts imo. Weather, if the projection holds light winds, light snow, heavily favors Buffalo. Contain Jackson and it's game over for Baltimore. Buffalo 34 - Baltimore 24 Bills advance.

Not looking good for Buffalo. Time of Possession, field position, running down the clock via run game are killing this team. Without adjustments, Buffalo loses this game.

I worked there for a couple of years back 10 yrs ago. I just didn't feel the blue collar type rowdy crowd I've felt in other hockey towns.

Spoke with my brother-in-law late last night. He's still home, has a lingering deep cough and some body aches but he's slowly mending. After a brief convo to send love and wish him well spoke with my sister, she says the Doc told her he will have life long lasting damage from this, lungs and neurological. She didn't specify but Covid ravaged Rich for sure. My heart goes to him and their family. Things will never be the same for them I'd imagine.
