The league actively took part in denying the Sabres McDavid. They did nothing for over a decade, they were busy situating the 2 Florida teams and Vegas to explode/grow those fan bases for money all while Pegula dismantled and destroyed a small market teams 50 year brand. They can do nothing, it’s proven it will not do anything. No calvary is coming to save this fan base, it’s just the reality of the situation.

So what’s his game? 2 way winger? is he projecting to be a 20 goal scorer depending on linemates/circumstances? Dont know a lot about him, but 25 yrs old he seems to be in the age wheelhouse for us, no?

Acceptable. I am looking forward to this season, it looks like an AHL forward or 2 are going to make the jump to the big club.

The Sabres aren’t merely bottom 5, they are the bottom destination in the NHL. The insane amount of talent that has been here over the course of these past 14 seasons, nearly all of which were running out of here after realizing just how much damage to their careers success was being done, is historical. The owner and management teams he hired will most likely never be matched in complete failure as has been done here. incompetence, inexperience, bad judgement, call it all of these and more, but….wow, just wow on how horribly wrong things have gone since Galisano and Quinn botched the Drury/Briere fiasco. The brand is so damaged to nhl players that it boggles the mind.

I believe he’s correct, and I’d pay Byram. The cap isn’t so bad on the defense side as when we signed Power. I’d pay the term and amount. We can hash out who goes in another couple years, but now, ya, I’d re-sign him.

Not really. Bo’s agent isn’t dumb, arbitration may leave money on the table. I think both the Sabres and Bo’s camp are silent on all of this as Adams works through the negotiating process. Which is what terrifies me as a Sabres fan, not so much in the return quality, because I’ve lost faith in Adam’s ability to get that in a deal, but in the return “fit”. In other words, is what Kyven brings in the fit the Sabres need. It down right scares the ***** out of me with this guy at the helm.

Hardly a fantasy. He’s 2 seasons away to UFA. His value isn’t at an apex now, not even close given his age and it’s the off season. I don’t know where you’d get that idea from, but it is simply not the case. Buffalo holds his rights, they hold all the cards.

I think Adams is playing this perfectly. He can match any offer sheet, so if a team thinks they will, they are lying to themselves and hockey fans in general. If Byram stays, even short term, it’s a win. He’s more than capable of making us better. if he’s traded, it will be on Adams terms, he holds all the cards.

So, this looks to be about it, the roster we are going in to the season with. At least, as of now. 6 years in and it doesn’t look promising. We shall see. Hope to be pleasantly surprised.

It is. But literally LG, we have nothing else, at least in my humbled opinion. I don’t like it, but no one is coming here, and after watching many videos on him, ya, offensively, he’s the most naturally ready. I hate saying it, but hell LG, at this point, why not give him 8 games?

Losing JBD isn’t even worth he convo in my opinion. The guy wasn’t an impact player, at least not what this team needs. So if he walks, he walks, big deal. he needs an impact forward in here, how he’s going to do it is beyond me as most impact players have put handcuffs on movement via NTC’s/NMC’s. We shall see what he does, if anything. Right now, I don’t see this team in the playoffs next season.

Ehlers still not signed

Said it before, say it again…. The Sabres brand is damaged so severely that an overwhelming number of the leagues impact players will not consider coming here. It’s not merely a matter of how those players view the 14 years dwelling in the basement, it’s the players that have been here with their escape from Buffalo stories. Under This Pegulas ownership, no matter his intention, the Sabres name and logo now represent the worst case scenario for players careers, their hopes, dreams, aspirations, their internal fires for compete and glory in the hockey arenas. No player will willingly come here unless is for monetary gain, the retirement run as it were, where they don’t have to worry about working hard and winning. That encapsulates what Sabres name and logo have become.
