164 point pace during the streak and an 87 point pace prior to it and an 87pt pace thru 60games. In 10 game segments: 1) 10/4-10/25 ...12pts 2) 10/27-11/17...14pts 3) 11/19-12/8...12pts 4) 12/11-12/31...10pts 5) 1/3-1/30...8pts 6) 2/1-2/21...8pts 7) 2/23-3/14....5pts 8 3/16-4/2....2pts so far(only 6 games played in this segment) And if they were to miraculously win out the last six games....end up with 83pts, right about where we thought they'd be.

Might not mind adding to the Rasmus quota though.

Not to mention but, he also retained Darcy and Lindy which he didn't have to do.

What's there to re-tool? With the Rasmi, Montour, Pilut and others coming up the pipeline, the D looks set to be an attacking type D no matter who the coach will be. The bottom 9 forwards need upgrading no matter what and I don't see that as being as much of an issue with putting a system in place. I'm not sure, but I would think that it's much easier to change a system with the forwards than the D, could be wrong though. Any experts out there that could confirm? The biggest issues might be teaching a new coach to "communicate" with upper management or finding one that's good at it.

Was Malone injured again this year, I saw he only played 32 games?

Easy.....this is all I ask. They may be far and few between but you could look at some games that they played well and lost too, some Tampa games come to mind. But yeah, all in all I'm with ya.

It will be interesting to see what happens. If you're an offensive Dman and see PH as coach do you come here? what if Hitchcock is coach? Do you start re-tooling the roster to fit yet another coaching style or do you continue on and find another coach to fit the system you are trying to deploy. Experienced coach or promote from within or...? Players coach ....drill instructor....cheerleader....teacher? or Alumni?

10 game streaks whether bad or good aren't "flukes" and happen probably every year in the NHL. If Tampa had a 10 game win streak would it be a "fluke". It's been proven that a team with a 10 game win streak has missed the playoff before. I don't necessarily totally disagree about the thought process and it's more of the continued unending use of it as if it never existed to "prove" a point. I have no problem including that streak and still saying that ....we suck.

But was it really the point total that got them fired? With GMTM I'm not so sure and DDB might have been a Murry hiring that he got caught up in.

We have been scoring challenged and the D has helped improve that to a point, but yes we are "still" challenged. I agree that we need to add some toughness to the D and where that comes from is anybodies guess.

I'm so sick of the "take the streak out and" comments. It happened and there's 82 games in a season, not 72...get over it. the team is better over the 82g than last year with the same coach and less talent if your one to believe that ROR trade was a bad thing.

Says who? JBott? You do know that he was in the NHL with the Blues right? Last half of last year. So Sabres aren't the only idiots that thought he was NHL material. That said, I agree with you. Just thought maybe you didn't take that into consideration.

Have you seen our defense play in their own zone? and do you realize that 2 of our Dmen are in our top 5 in scoring? Do you want to take away that scoring on a challenged team when it comes to that aspect?

I'd add that Skinner was not a regular 35g man and your expectation is high, therefore he exceeds the expectation.

Wait a minute....aren't we SUPPOSED to remove the streak for verifications? LOL And thus goes the idea that Bergie had any effect on this roster and the ROR trade was "for nothing in return".

Sooo like I said , you firing him already. This group will not be the same come next year(hopefully) so it will be an impossible task.
