  1. Carrier is a heart and soul fourth liner on a good team. He's has the speed and talent of all of our JAG college prospects but the physicality is surely missed
  2. It makes me sick to juxtapose out current depth issues to how many solid role players we have bled to other teams. Add McNabb to the list
  3. The bottom quote in your signature reads like the speaker learned to communicate solely based on the dialogue in pokemon game boy games
  4. With Jack out Reinhart stepped up and became the team's offensive focal point. With Jack back, Sam seemed to slip up for a few games, sort of like the thought that there can only be one "Alpha" on offense. It's understandable and I see the same fallacy occur a lot in NARP organizations that I work with. Many employees struggle to do their best work if they are not leading the project or "running the show." You see this a lot with highly capable, non-dominant personalities. If thrust into a position when they are running point, they are in a way forced to step up and produce to their potential. If they are working on a team they tend to let the "loud talker" do their thing and just quietly produce up to expectations but nothing more. It takes a certain level of confidence and maturity but these types can learn that even if they aren't top dog, they can still be the most important part of the team. Here's to Samson realizing that even though this will always be Eichel's team, he should feel empowered to take over a game at every opportunity that he gets.
  5. Driving from Lynchburg Va to Raleigh NC after work today, going to miss the start of the game. Casey, if you're reading, please wait to score your first until midway through the first. Thanks, Stu, PS You should have picked #41
  6. No only a real forward but THE Tone$etter https://www.instagram.com/p/Bgg1htqB8IG/?hl=en&taken-by=spittinchiclets
  7. The tip is tied to the total for your ride. At the end of the day I have a breakdown of every ride (Point A, Point B, time and mileage), the fare calculation for said ride, and any additional surge charges or tips. So I do know which riders gave me a tip as long as I remember the drop off / pick up locations.
  8. Not saying that it's never happened before but that was the first time I've ever noticed pommer finishing a check
  9. That's a tough one to be in. My worst two riders were a 50ish man who his friends forced into my car. I got him home and woke him up to get out. He got pretty aggressive "who the hell are you" "bring me back to The bar" yada yada. I thought he might swing on me but sober and 25 I would've been able to handle a buckled old man. The other one was this past Saturday, very drunk woman 40ish called me to a notorious college bar with a 3x surge at last call and wanted to go 20ish miles to the meth/Heroin suburb of KC. She saw my NY license plates and kept screaming at me to go back to NY, and telling me I was wasting my life in the Midwest. This went on for the first 15 mins or so...Good times. I ended up telling her that she doesn't know me and what brought me here so she shouldn't judge my decisions. Just like I wasn't judging her haggard A$$ for getting blitzkrieged at a bar 20 years too young for her. Not my best customer service moment but that's one of the pluses of working for yourself right?
  10. i have been dreading that situation for awhile now. I've had older men pass out in my back seat but I really am not looking forward to the day where a drunk and disoriented younger woman passes out in my car and pepper sprays me when I wake her up and she doesn't remember calling an uber
  11. I would still be concerned about their (lack of) defense but Eric Berry coming back from injury could be huge for them. He's a monster.
  12. This move really sets the table to jump into the top 5 if need be. I like it.
  13. You need to register with the locality that you want to drive in, they run a simple backfround check and verify that your vehicle is insured. I am registered as a driver in Kansas City and can drive here and the surrounding suburbs anytime. I travel for work though and when I turn the driver app on in DC for instance I am not able to go online and pick up rides. I am interested in finding out just how far my KC permissions go but, not interested enough to drive a few hundred miles into Kansas to see if I can still pick people up.
  14. Yeah that's the last time I try to be optimistic
  15. Off the cuff Rene Bourque played 4 years in Wisconsin before winning the award but he could possibly be the only one.
  16. FWIW over the past 20 years about half of the AHL rookie of the year winners turned out to not suck as NHLers. The List Includes Mikko Rantanen, Matt Murray, Tyler Toffoli, Tyler Ennis, Rene Bourque , Teddy Purcell, Tyler Arnason, Danny Briere and Darcy Tucker. Sure there are plenty of Nathan Gerbe and Luke Adam's on the list as well but we may be pleasantly surprised with what O'Regan becomes.
  17. I had that on in the background while attempting to get some work done. Needless to say I did not accomplish much
  18. I drive Uber occasionally in Kansas City and recently picked up four players from a visiting ECHL team. I brought them to a greasy riverboat casino the night before their game. Their parting words: If you're a betting man and can get action on the ECHL; put everything you have on Kansas City tomorrow. I ended up going to the game and recognized one of the guys getting dusted for two goals in an ugly loss. Made me wonder how common this type of stuff is in the NHL
  19. i don't want it to get lost in the shuffle that Samson made a very slick little pass into the slot about 30 seconds before the goal. He hasn't been making them as much this season but it's that kind of creativity and vision that made him such a high pick
