Scrolling through the past 20 years of Sabres trades, trying to remember the last "star" that was traded to Sabres? I guess Skinner and ROR were proven stars before coming to Buffalo. Most of the "star" players the Sabres have had over the years are either drafted by Sabres or are young prospects who finally get a chance and become "stars". I did come across a few trades that may have looked good at the time, but "what if". So a lot of Sabres fans were ecstatic when the Sabres got a 1st from Nashville for Paul Gaustad, but do they remember the Sabres also "thru in" a 4th rd pick which ended up being Juuse Saros!!

But are you willing to pay him $8+ million this off-season, or would you rather have Levi and Kulich? Timing is everything in sports and having the right mixture of players to build a balanced team. That's been the issue I have had with the front office and GM's during this playoff drought, they keep acquiring and drafting the same type of players. They never look for the big, physical forwards or defenseman. It's all about skill and speed. Then they get pushed around and go curl up in a corner!

The list seems to be getting longer with the probability that the Sabres will be sellers this year as the playoffs look out of range again. The obvious- Could get 2nd to 4th rd picks in return. Oloffson, Girgensons, and EJ. Could be- Teams looking for depth, KA should just get what ever he can get. May have to retain salary. Okposo, Jost, Comrie, and Robinson Moves to shake things up- Joker, and Krebs Interesting to hear who else Sabres Spacers may be ready to move on from?? I believe we could see another type of blockbuster with one of the young players or prospects either at trade deadline, but definitely in the off-season.

There has been a lot of cheap shots this year. The league has to do a better job of calling majors and suspending and not just fining players. I aim all about the rough stuff, but some of these guys are just taking runs at the young skilled players.

Usually works quite well bringing in some vets to help support the young skilled players. Let's look at the last 5 years of cup winning teams and vets that were brought in not to long before their championships. Vegas- Barbashev, Pietrangelo, Quick, and Stone Colorado- Cogliano, Helm, Ladri, Kuemper, Lehkonen, and Manson Tampa (2yrs)- Coleman, Goodrow, Maroon, McDonagh, Savard, and Schenn St. Louis- ROR and Perron Who has Adams brought in from outside the organization that brings a winning mentality?

So right now the Sabres need a solid #2 to play with Dahlin. Mule is not the answer and would rather see him with Power on the second d pair. Also would like to see what R.Johnson can do with Clifton as a 3rd pair.

It's been so frustrating to see how this franchise has digressed over the past ten years. Ownership, management, and lack of desire by players has made this franchise the laughing stock of the NHL!!

This team has had no heart or grit type players since they traded Foligno in 2017.

So basically playing with two NHL forward lines...Sabres have got to add forward depth that are true 3rd and 4th liners. if you have bangers on the team, it wears down the other teams defense and allows the skill players better opportunities when they are out there. And good 3rd and 4th line players actually go to the net and score the "dirty" goals, that the Sabres never seem to get.
