1 injury to Levi and the season goes right down the tubes, imo and upgrade should be made and there is no excuse not to. There will be options available, to rely on a young goalie is bad business no matter how talented he is.

I was about 16 years old, after the Sabres/Leafs game in the 90's me and my friend would get autographs of all the players after the game and Mogilny comes walking out of the dressing room like he was Rico Suave, no lie he came out with his arms around 2 of the hottest blondes I've ever seen in my life and he even scribbled his autograph still with his arm around the 1 and as I was talking to him he said something in Russian, I didn't know at the time that he didn't know English unless he was trolling us. Also after that game we ran over to the Leafs side to try and get a few players and this was the best autograph I ever got, so we were waiting for the remainder of the Leafs players to come out (I think I was waiting for Alan Bester but I don't remember) and out comes Tie freaking Domi, he was eating chicken wings and the BBQ sauce was all over his fingers as we asked for his auto, no lie he asked for the pen from this youngin in front of us and then he proceeded to wipe his BBQ sauce on the poor kid lol It was the funniest *****. Also Mogilny should 100% be in the HOF, regardless if he shows up or not, if Mike Vernon and Pierre Turgeon made it anyone has a chance.

Pesce would be a significant upgrade for us and an excellent mentor for the young Owen Power. I also read rumors that the Sabres are interested in acquiring Jordan Staal in FA but I forgot where I saw the article because I can no longer find it plus it's probably a rumor more than a fact, he would be an excellent faceoff guy for us on the 3rd or 4th line imo.

A decent goalie in the form of a trade or in UFA, there are plenty of options so there is no excuse, no way can we go into the season with the guys we have and be content imo. We need a faceoff guy, I read somewhere that we have interest in Jordan Staal and I'd really like that option but I'm sure some will hate it. I was hoping for upgrades in place of Okposo & Girgensons so I'm not sure if there will be room now for a forward but a player who can play on the PK effectively, hits, has grit etc and a defensemen or 2 is a must and 1 must be a compliment to Owen Power pushing Jokiharju to a more natural 3rd line pairing. Playoffs is a must, we can't miss this year which is why I'm surprised Adams didn't go for it all last season when we were in contention.

I dislike this move less than the Okposo re-signing but still would have preferred an upgrade over both of these players. Neither hit enough, are fast enough, not really sure what they bring to the table other than experience and it didn't seem to help when we started losing. Building the culture up is great and essential but we have guys like Thompson, Skinner, Tuch, Dahlin who have plenty of experience and leadership. It is what it is though and they're Sabres so I'll root for them to get the kids where they need to be.

No way would I pay that ever again, I remember those insane prices and I hope it doesn't get there again! I've been on Youtube TV for quite some time and really like it. It will take some getting used to since Cable has channels, On youtube TV it will say TNT/AMC/Disney etc so no cahnnels anymore but once you get the hand of it it's fairly easy to navigate even for a youngen like yourself 😂. I wasn't a fan of the current price hike (I think my bill is now $72 per month) because Youtube TV now got the NFL rights or something of that nature so they have to make that money back somehow. I want to try sling TV but not having local channels is a no go for me, I'm not paying to get rabbit ears just to watch local channels. Also MSG i think will allow customers to purchase MSG on whatever platform they have this coming year if I heard that correctly, not sure the price but if it's reasonable I'll probably add it.

But the cool part is Jonathan Quick gets another, he seems like a genuinely good dude.

I get what you're trying to say... I thought you were going to say the perception of the team after our owners wouldn't let him get the type of surgery he wanted. I do believe perception matters for sure but I think those perceptions have also changed since both sides moved on this is a different type of team clearly on the up and up. I'm sure all of them (Eichel, Reinhart, Montour) would probably presuade other players who are FA's to go a different route. We have no clue what the actual perception is about the Sabres until FA hits though since talk is cheap, if players truly believe that then I expect some decent signings, that would tell alot imo.

I said no, I think Hellebuyck is a top notch goalie but I don't think he'll sustain it for another 5 years at this level of play but that's just my opinion. Levi has shown glimpses of what we could be getting and I don't think we need to give him away in a deal. I think there are options out there like Saros, Demko and others where we may have to deal UPL but definitely not Levi.

I like him alot also but is there a younger version that we can have in his prime years?

I'd rather have a guy built for the playoffs than Kane, some names like Tyler Bertuzzi, Jordan Staal or Alexander Killorn to name a few or just add someone like Kulich/Savoie etc but I'm not a fan of bringing Kane at his advanced age and looking like a non factor in his playoff push.
