Robin Lehner goes off on buffalo again.
GASabresIUFAN replied to Buffalonill's topic in The Aud Club
What a sad excuse of a player. -
I believe the Steelers are 1-2 to start the season. The one win was over us when believed the hype machine. fyi: The Bills now lead the AFC in pts and are 2nd in the AFC in fewest pts allowed. Overall we are 4th in pts scored and 4th in pts allowed and are tied with Denver for largest pt differential in the NFL at 50.

Is Don Granato the best coach the Sabres have had since Lindy Ruff?
GASabresIUFAN replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
I said that was what they should have done last year and have no problem with that this year except I would have brought in real goaltending. -

Here is one other issue. Was RR brought in to win like RK was? No question RR was a joke of an NHL coach but his team was intended to fail. RK was given Skinner, Dahlin, Ullmark, Eichel, Staal, Reinhart, Hall, and VO to play playoff hockey and he created a 31st overall team instead. -

It wouldn’t have matter. RK’s team like RR couldn’t score. Good goaltending gives you a chance. Sadly when you score 1 goal a night you ultimately have no chance good goaltending or no. My biggest issue with Rasputin is that he destroyed players. In both years in Buffalo the offensive production of our forwards and offensive D cratered. From stars like Skinner and Dahlin to depth like Vesey and Sheary. He coached low event hockey in a high event league. I said the day he was hired that he was a terrible fit. We needed a teacher not a cheerleader. We finally got one in DG. -
Pit should be the winless as well.

It’s funny but Rolston’s track record prior to year 2 in Buffalo was pretty good. He had 2 solid years in Rochester. Then when promoted he went a respectable 15-11-5 in Buffalo. The next season the tank began in earnest and his 3 best forwards were CoHo, Ennis and Stafford. Vanek was traded 13 games in for Moulson. Still they had good goaltending this no excuse for a 4-15 record to start that season. After looking at that roster compared to now, I’m really worried that DG has been set up to fail. It’s pretty neck and neck between RR and RK but RK gets the nod for being a terrible communicator and a player killer. Rolston didn’t have quality forwards like Eichel, Reinhart, Hall or Skinner to coach. The sad part is between Nolan, RR, Housley, and RK we are discussing the worst group of coaches ever assembled by an organization trying to navigate a rebuild. It’s almost like they have no idea what they are doing. -

Except Housley didn't try to destroy our top players like RK did with Skinner and Dahlin to name two. -

Can we all agree the RK aka Rasputin was the worst of the bunch? -
Thoughts on this preseason game Weissbach did pretty well for only 10 minutes of ice time. Coaches in Wis (Tony Granato) thought he turned a corner last year. I can see why. Dell is exactly what I thought he was..... terrible. Please dump him KA. JJP is going to be a star in this league sooner then later. Great shootout goal by Quinn. If camp ended today, Murray would make the Sabres.

Updated Sabres Prospect Pool 2021 and beyond
GASabresIUFAN replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Yes, but unlike here they are affiliated with a parent club in the VHL or KHL. The VHL is like the AHL except most of the teams are independent and not affiliated with a specific KHL team. The below article should help explain the leagues https://thewincolumn.ca/2020/11/02/a-comprehensive-guide-to-all-the-major-hockey-leagues-outside-north-america/ -
Forwards This Season 2021-22 & Beyond

I’m going to respectfully disagree. I like Z, but he’s a winger. We’ll see what DG does, but I think he’ll play Eakin over Z in the middle. Edit: I went and looked at DG’s scrimmage lines and he had Z between Caggiula and KO and Eakin with prospects. You may be right that DG intends Z as the 4C. -

GASabresIUFAN replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
I'm not, but as a 4th line center who can win draws and play PK, he has some use. He is also the only proven faceoff guy on the roster. Caggiula and Bjork are wingers and I'd rather play the 8 wingers I mentioned over either guy. -
What do you expect from: #28 Zemgus Girgensons?

Mitts, Cozens, R2, Eakin Skinner, Asplund, Murray, Girgensons Olofsson, Thompson, Hinostroza, KO Here is a full roster with only one prospect (Murray) winning a job with no Caggiula or Bjork. I don't see how either of these guys is an upgrade over the guys on my list. -
I’m not sure I agree with that. We haven’t seen Levi yet, but at the World Jrs he was fantastic. We’ll have a chance to see both in college this year to see who is better. Portillo was very good at Michigan last season but in a very limited role.
