I am right there with you... the past 20 games is the real team. Good teams do not go on 20 plus game slumps. When we play with effort we can compete. We have a few pieces. But I have come to the sober conclusion that we are not remotely close yet. IF and I mean IF management can string toghter a few more good drafts, we properly develop players, and hit on some good FA/trades, we might be a top 10 team in 2-3 years. Long way to go yet. JBOT, for all intensive purposes, inherited an expansion team that had Jack Eichel.

my guess is they land around 80 points, which compared to last year is a huge improvement, but considering the start is a big disappointment...this team is miles away yet

We’ve won 6 games since the streak. It’s not being negative but it’s reality now. This may be a very bad team.

Darcy built a stud team in 3 years with no financials or good ownership from 02-05. We’ve been floundering for almost 10 years.

Where does JBot go from here? We have a few decent prospects but no stars in the pipeline. I can’t honestly say we are getting close. We need 2-3 elite players yet.

Sadly it’s undeniable... good teams don’t have 20 game stretches of terrible. It’s getting worse each game.
