Enjoy the game mate. I get asked the question now and again how I became a sabres fan. Growing up my hometown team Fife flyers played in the same colours as sabres so it was an easy decision too. Flyers also had a few ex NHL players play from them - Doug smail, Laurie boschman and al Sims to name a few.
Seeing the sabres for the first time a few years back I was beyond excited.
Hope you and your boy have a great time and get a win.

Really want a win. Sick of train journeys to work in the morning with another defeat running through my head trying to figure out why we are so bad.

Not sure where the answer lies. To start I hope certain players have seen or will be playing there last few games in sabres jerseys. I'm also not against trading any of our better players either.

Its a great opportunity to see them and one I would have taken if I wasn't in NYC in November . My mate is heading to Prague in October to see the Blackhawks for the first time after years of waiting.
If I hadn't already seen the Sabres I would be cancelling my NY trip and heading to Stockholm :)

please just win, cannot stand another early morning train journey to work with another loss going through my head. I know a loss helps our draft position but I am just totally done and fed up of losing.

I remember going back to the mid 80's early 90's watching hockey here in the UK. At that time it was a team with your British players and your 3 imports from Canada or the usa. Scores back then we're unreal. Like 12-6, 15-5 and so on due to the goalies being a poor standard and the imports making the difference. Thankfully now those days are gone and the quality has improved.

I'm just thinking is Botts hoping that ollofson is going to step up next season into the top 6 and does asplund come in at 3rd center? Casey stays 2nd? Think he will still do a trade or free agency but to what extent??

Yeah fair enough. Totally agree that we need 1-2 players that will change things in the room. Needed so badly and yes not had these types for a long long time.
