To be honest my self I cant really remember all I know is I would listen to every game on dial up internet when I was a kid in my bedroom my dad was not even a hockey fan lol. Now I'm a die hard, My son well he just followed me he listen to the games as he falls a sleep at night and lives and breaths blue and gold I Had to hold back tears today shaking pommers hand you can tell he is one of the few class acts left.

Enjoy the game mate. I get asked the question now and again how I became a sabres fan. Growing up my hometown team Fife flyers played in the same colours as sabres so it was an easy decision too. Flyers also had a few ex NHL players play from them - Doug smail, Laurie boschman and al Sims to name a few.

Seeing the sabres for the first time a few years back I was beyond excited.

Hope you and your boy have a great time and get a win.

Biggest game of the season for draft. We probably beat sens for the last home game and lose against ny, col, and preds.

A win at this point does nothing, absolutely nothing and a bad loss at home will be the nail in the coffin for ph.

Constant defeats are too much though. Totally get what your saying but cant take much more.

Yeah. I decided not to look at the price. Not likely to see them in North America any time soon, so it's done.

Its a great opportunity to see them and one I would have taken if I wasn't in NYC in November . My mate is heading to Prague in October to see the Blackhawks for the first time after years of waiting.

If I hadn't already seen the Sabres I would be cancelling my NY trip and heading to Stockholm :)

  4. I remember going back to the mid 80's early 90's watching hockey here in the UK. At that time it was a team with your British players and your 3 imports from Canada or the usa. Scores back then we're unreal. Like 12-6, 15-5 and so on due to the goalies being a poor standard and the imports making the difference. Thankfully now those days are gone and the quality has improved.

Agreed.  I would like to know how a coach can motivate a team that isn't self-motivated.  Pom-poms? Whips? An epic speech pre-game and in-between each period?  Promises of more video game time on the plane?

Yeah fair enough. Totally agree that we need 1-2 players that will change things in the room. Needed so badly and yes not had these types for a long long time.

I want more then Miller if I'm trading them Ristolainen

Interesting. Bring on the draft and free agency.

If I'm reading capfriendly correctly, Tampa will have about $6 million left next year to sign RFAs Point, Paquette and Erne, as well as replace UFAs Girardi, Stralman and Coburn. They will probably want to clear between $6 and $10 to sign Point and add to D. Callahan, Stamkos, Palat, Johnson, and Killorn have no movement clauses.

Player-wise, Ristolainen makes so much sense for them next year. I wonder how much groundwork has been laid.

Bring on the draft and free agency. Interesting times
