Hockey buzz website has us interested in Anders lee

World's 2020 I would have loved to have seen GB play in Lausanne but my November trip to New York has put the skids on that?
-
Hoping to see us in new York in November if the schedule is kind to me. Can we do a meet up there??

There's growing consensus of the top 4.
Hughes, Kakko, Byram, and Turcotte. I am 98% convinced that Turcotte is gone by #7.
Totally agree. Little chance of getting him
-
Turcotte if available at #7. Think he will be taken before then though.
-
Hockey buzz website very positive about this hire. Saying sabres may have just made best coaching hire off this off season. Time will tell and still to be officially announced

Thanks. The logo appears to be lifted straight from the Goathead.
When I wore my goathead sabres top at the finals weekends used to get loads of abuse as people though I was a bison fan?

This is probably not the thread to discuss this, but there is so much to still happen this off-season that we have no idea what the opening day roster will look like at this point other then it might be missing 3 guys we had penciled in on D. I admit that isn’t a warm and fuzzy thought, but it may spur Jbot to bolder moves.
Thinking now he doesn't move risto and picks up another rd in free agency maybe not spending too much.

I'm having trouble picking out a favorite team based on logos/names. If the Basingstoke Bison were still around, they'd be it.
They are still around. They play in the nihl. Level below the eihl

This is where I am too. We can't put everyone with Eichel!!!
If turcotte is still there and I don't think he will be when we pick then it's him no question then boldy, zegras, dach, caulfield in that order for me

Eichel awarded star of the game. Looked pissed at the end. Slovakia we're really good. Played with high energy throughout. Tatar was excellent.
GB played well yesterday too. If Ben Bowns keeps up that form in net who wont be with the Devils much longer.
-
Well here it goes for GB. Expecting your go straight back down but will enjoy our brief visit to pool a. Gutted today as people put up posts on social media heading to Slovakia. Wish I was going?
-
what's everyone's thoughts on this. Does he make the roster out of camp?
-
fair choices all 3. although dallas fans will be miffed.

I cant say regarding all sports, but regarding Hockey its a fact for sure.
NHL would be just like any other hockey league if it were not for all nationalities, and these players would not
be this wealthy, good or known all over the world if it wasnt for NHL, so the respect goes both ways but the sad part is that in most sports all country leagues stop when its world championship to be able to send their best players. This is where i dislike NHL.In the UK both the Elite League and NIHL finish the 2nd week in April at latest and then we are straight in to Worlds action but not this year with being in the top division

That would be the point of contention. I personally don't think you write that off as incidental contact. Stastny hit him deliberately and it was unnecessary so you can argue who deserves the penalty if you want but it was a dirty play all around and deserved to be penalized.
Doesn't matter though, if you allow 4 goals on a 5 minute penalty your PK ain't worth s**t and you deserve to lose.
Personally glad Vegas is out. Sick of them from last year already.
Would be great if Carolina pulled the upset, but right now it looks like a Washington repeat to me. Long shot to Columbus. Boston can never beat the Caps for some reason.
Spot on, PK non existent on those 5 mins

Was going Modo then had to change my plans. Been to a few worlds and have been a member of the Great Britain Supporters Club for 11 years. We normally take a good support to these tournaments every year.
-
Looking forward to this draft. We are going to get a good pick at 7

I'm new recruit for the Purple Army!
Thought that?. Flyers for me, though sabres come first by a long shot. Would rather have pete russell than dutes as flyers coach in a heartbeat.

Seems that freesports.tv has the full tournament too!
Excellent. Got all our games noted. Germany up first on the 11th. Not holding out much hope for us though. Quick question - who do you follow in UK hockey?

I would love to attend some year, combined with sightseeing. Prague would be my first choice followed by any Scandinavian city and St Petersburg.
I've been to Europe a few times but never for hockey. Hmmm.
I've done Austria and Hungary on my trips. Budapest is a beautiful city and well worth a visit. Innsbruck in Austria was also a good trip plus got to see Thomas vanek play for his country.
-
I was meant to be going but NYC trip in November put paid to that. Not expecting Great Britain to win a game at this one and expect us to get relegated but always love doing the worlds. Been to some amazing countries on previous trips.

Or Colorado at 4. He's a really good player.
Just thought Detroit as I know they are in need of a dman. Remember watching his dad play over here for Ayr eagles in the late nineties.

Turcotte for me but we have no chance unless we do a deal with Blackhawks for there pick. Happy though with any of Cozens, Dach, boldy or Zegras
