It's already brought up in other threads.
Hire a coach that can coach - easy win. It's that simple really. That's my thinking Modo. Ralph is the problem here. Would like to see this roster under a different coach.

I am in the camp at the moment of these players are struggling with the system that the coach has them playing. Let them play to there strengths. We are the specialists at scoring 1 goal per game if we are lucky. But I also feel that certain players need to take a long hard look at themselves. First thing I would do today is waive okposo - he is done at NHL level and I would seriously consider Ralph's position if I was GM k Adams. We have the players there but it's not happening. The next move we make can we please please please get this one right.
Really struggling with this now and find watching this team and continuous losing unbearable.

I don’t hate this team but I’m certainly starting to hate these coaches. Can you coach the life out of a team ? Can you throw so much information at players that they forget to do what comes instinctually ? Can you take everything a player learned to love about hockey while growing up and coach it out of them ? Cause I’ll tell you they play like they hate this game. And I certainly can’t find anything enjoyable in what I’m seeing. Our best players can’t score. Our most promising D man looks like he’s afraid to make a mistake. Our franchise player looks disinterested most of the time. Our offseason grab who’s playing for his next contract is pretty much invisible and can’t score. At some point you have to look at systems and how these guys are being prepared. Is the coach putting players in a position to succeed ? Certainly not in Skinners case. And where is GM KAdams ? Anyhoo I’ll let myself out.
Totally agree. Krueger needs to let them play and let go of his systems.

Hard one to call for me. In 21 years following this team the names that standout for me - Drury, briere, vanek, satan, peca, miller, Hasek, Campbell, eichel. Vanek was the first player I saw at the world championships playing for Austria but would have to be Drury for me - class player and we got so close with him and briere.

Happy with this one and more than earned a spot on 4th line next season

Acquiring a 36 year old who is one year from free agency (and likely retirement) should have absolutely no bearing on who we draft.
Thinking more he is a bridge for getting Cozens ready. No way thinking of him long term. Possibly see us giving him a years deal one year from now to play 3c with Cozens moving to 2c

Personally I'm thinking more like this now. But also depends on what we do with our 8OA - I'm really hoping Holtz drops to us and we fix our RW hole.
VO - Eichel - Samson
Skinner - Staal - Thompson
Kahun - Cozens - Craig smith / ufa
Or Jarvis, Raymond at 8. That would do
-
Interesting now. Do we go for Raymond, holtz or Jarvis now at 8th picking up another right winger??
-
Looking forward to this. Will be interesting who falls to us at 8? Expecting lundell or holtz. Would love Rossi but he can see Detroit taking him at 4

Pickwise, if Rossi is gone as many suspect then I like what I am reading about Lundell. Needs to work on skating, but a solid and reliable 2 way C.

Reckon Rossi will be long gone by 8. Liking what I've read about lundell. Also would be happy with holtz, perfetti or Quinn. If Raymond is still there at 8 I'd be tempted though.
On another note I really hope all this gets sorted with Intu and clan play next season. Eihl needs them?

We had no chance of Cozens falling to us... until he did.
He receives the puck in prime scoring areas but he's not the one taking it to that area.
Hopefully happens with Rossi what happened with Cozens?

A few of the Mock drafts have Holtz at #8 so I watched a few videos of him.
Elite shooter, comparable to Caufield from last year’s draft. He is bigger and a better skater than Caufield. He is a right handed RW, which the Sabres could use.
For some reason, I am not sold on him. I would consider moving down a few spots and getting Jarvis or Quinn.
It is no secret that I would love to get Rossi at 8 but I don’t think he gets by the Devils. They have 3 prospects on the 67s so they have seen all of Rossi’s games. My only hope is that they need something other than a C.
Would love Rossi but we have no chance. I'd be happy with holtz or lundell. If Raymond is still there at 8 I'd be taking him.

I've watched some pretty empty WJC games, and enjoyed them well enough.
When I've been to the world championships to watch Great Britain I have seen us play Italy and Kazakstan with 200 of us in a 12,000 seater arena. Still enjoyed it.

Been watching sports documentaries. Latest ones. The gretzky trade and the 1985 Chicago bears. Also doing some reading.

Sega mega drive NHL 93 brought out cupboard and dusted down. Got my first line of andreychuk-lafontaine-moginly so I'm happy. Keeping me going.

Because he's not injured. I think he is "dinged up" in the way most players are at this time of year. If he was truly injured, he wouldn't be in the lineup.
Something is obviously bothering him though; he's not the same as he has been most of the year.
He's never went this long before without getting a point. Although he is carrying the rest of the team. The guy doesn't deserve this.
-
Its mental he has went 7 games without a point. But if he's injured why are they still playing him???
-
La kings could catch us yet. Something seriously needs to be done here.

To be honest I don't play, and still have moments like that lol.
You coming through to fia next Saturday?
-
My mate was at the game last night reckons he is carrying and injury. If this is the case shut him down for the season and call up asplund for the last 18 games.
-
Would like us to finish strong. Not likely to make playoffs but would like to see this team finish well.

Johansson - Lazar - Simmonds
Girgensons - Larsson - OkposoLike the look of those lines

The guy is my favourite player and who's name and number is on my jersey but I am fed up with his soft play and I would trade him as much as it pains me to say it if the right deal was on the table.
Fixing the Sabres Long-Term - Can it be done?

For the group that we have for where we are currently is baffling. Has to be the coaching. Has to be.
