    I think the biggest difference we will see going forward between TM and Botterill is that TM was more than willing to trade away 1st and 2nd round picks. In retrospect, that was a huge mistake as Lehner, O’Reilly and the Kane trade hasn’t made us close to being a good team. I will be shocked if Botterill trades a 1st round pick at any point in the next 3-4 years. Maybe more.

    Neither of our goalies can get up once they’re down. Would also help to have forwards pick up bodies but I know that’s asking WAYYY too much.

    I wasn’t singling out you. I just mean in general I don’t know why they keep saying it’s a first when it’s far more likely it’ll be a second. O’Regan played on Jacks line in college supposedly.

    Far more accurately it’s a 2019 second. That could possibly, but not likely become a first. It should be reported this way instead of saying the Sabres got a first. They didn’t get a first.

    This Sabres team is maybe the worst in team history for a variety of reasons. And definitely either the worst or second worst in the NHL. Not shocked one bit that other GMs want nothing to do with our players and gave us terrible value on the Kane trade. Botterill is stuck with this mess. Good luck cleaning it up.

    Lol how many replays of goals scored against the Sabres have we seen Risto standing in front of the net useless? Add another to that list. STILL waiting for the Sabres to actually physically take a man out in front of the net.

    In my opinion it’s the country club atmosphere that the Pegulas created once they took over. That locker room is the Taj Mahal compared to what it used to be. The Pegulas copied what the Penguins did with their digs, almost to a tee. This team has missed the playoffs in every FULL season since the Pegulas took over. That’s not a coincidence. Between the outrageous salaries and country club treatment, young kids these days have little incentive to bust their ass like decades past.

    Murray’s trades bothered me a whole lot more than his drafting. The first round pick for Lehner was idiotic. The trade and contract for O’Reilly in hindsight was awful too. Although at the time I’ll admit I liked it.

    Im past the frustration point. Im perfectly fine with them losing every game. Does no good to win now. Win that lottery. It’s their only hope of being good. Someday.

    This team might be THE worst shooting percentage team in league history. I’d love to see the all time stats. They are damn close.

    I bought a 8 game mini pack back in August. Worst decision I’ve made. I’ve sold the first five games of it so far. Best decision I’ve made.

    This is true. But when your team is dead last in scoring and dead last in shooting percentage in the entire NHL, you have no chance. That’s why this team will finish dead last this year. Let’s hope for once they can win the lottery. Doubtful.

    I think it’s hilarious when people make a big deal of having a tall goalie. A big goalie means nothing, all of them are down on their knees 95% of the time.

    Actually they have two sets of back to back in Feb, but it won’t matter.
