Yep. Been an issue all year. They have been horrible on defense and penalty kill all year with not even a hint of improvement or even different tactics attempted. The asst coaches on this staff are in way over their heads.

Nice to finally have a goalie who is good in shootouts. That will help a lot in future years.

Levi deserves SO much better than this defense. All our goalies do actually.

Let’s hope it doesn’t take 3-4 seasons for the Sabres to find actual competent asst coaches that know how to fix the PK. It’s cost us numerous games and a playoff spot this year and will continue to until it’s properly coached and addressed.

Sadly Levi can’t be expected to overcome our piss poor PK and slacking D play we’ve had all year. Hopefully KA is taking note of this and will improve the D and the asst coaching before next year. Levi can’t transform the team all by himself.

Thompson has been injured since late January and just hasn’t had time to fully recover with rest. Unfortunately his goals also decreased since then as well, no doubt as a direct result of his injury.

Thompson’s fan is just the perfect ending for this one and their offensive ineptitude tonight

The Sabres have never had guys that can score in a shootout. Usually our goalies suck too. Tonight Comrie did good enough but we just can’t score.
