Yes, but not as in a player for each pick. Murray traded away a number of picks. Sure, a few were necessary for different reasons, but must admit he over spent. McDermott should've kept the picks. Need depth.

After Buffalo got the picks they should have kept them. McDermott and company traded away picks they could have used.

A few remaining QB's are ranked high than Kelly, so w/ the Bills not having a pick until the 5th round I'm saying screw it. Draft Kelly and see what happens. I've been against Kelly coming to Buffalo, but w/ Kizer off the board why not? Bills have no depth at QB. Will admit having a rookie and a guy w/ almost no experience is not the type of depth you want, but w/ Buffalo sucking for so long does it really matter? hhmmmm.... I was under the impression Disney would go w/ some one like Chris Pratt to take Indiana Jones in a new direction. Eventually a change will be needed, but it is great for Harrison Ford to have a chance to end his role as Indiana Jones on a hopeful high note.

Even though Bettman recently said there are no plans to change the playoff format, I'm sure it's bound to happen. People want to see the best playing each other in the Conference and Stanley Cup Finals. The round 2 match ups are unbalanced. Could lead to lower ratings in round 3. And if ratings become a regular problem, the NHL will make another change to the playoffs. Use the kiss (keep it simple stupid) method. Top seed should be playing lowest seed.

I had the same thoughts before watching Apocalypse. Enjoyed it very much. Didn't see why people thought it was a terrible movie. That is a most definite.

Who do you guys think is the favorite with Round 1 nearing completion? Anaheim, including the sweep over Calgary, is 12-0-2 in their last 14 games. St. Louis is 11-2-2 (played a 15th game by not sweeping Minnesota). Washington is 11-4-0, but they are struggling w/ Toronto. Pittsburgh dominated Columbus. Right now I'd put money on Anaheim and Pittsburgh being in the Stanley Cup Final. Leaning towards Anaheim taking it all.

Agreed :thumbsup: Whenever I'm in the Buffalo area I go to town on pizza and wings. Can't imagine what I'd look like if I lived there. Never check the scale when I get home, because I'm quite sure there was an increase in weight. Workout extra to get back to what I normally weigh.

Depends what you consider experience. Paul Fenton has been the Predators Assistant GM for 10 years. He is also the current GM for the Milwaukee Admirals. Predator GM David Poile has spoken highly of Fenton. Look at the quality teams the two have put together over the years w/ a limited budget. I'll admit this is all I know about Fenton, but if he's "new blood" I say go for the guy. Plus, his son plays for Rochester. It'd give Fenton even more reason to put together a successful Rochester team. His Milwaukee team is currently in the playoffs.

Numbers (people) mean nothing. If there's not a legit GM amongst them, it doesn't matter.

Still shocked by all of this. I was a Murray supporter. With the amount of major firings by Pegula for the Bills and Sabres, what GM w/ a good track record and a true want for the Stanley would accept a job in Buffalo? Don't need to hear "its a job opening." If Pegula would've given Murray at least 1 more year it'd be different. He pulled the trigger too fast on this one. Pegula, thank you for keeping the Bills and Sabres in Buffalo. Other than that you suck. Be an owner. Don't try to think you know enough about the game to actually play a role in the decision making. Hire people to do that for you. And give them a chance to prove themselves. Right now you have people across the NHL laughing at the "3 ring circus" you've put together in Buffalo.
