  1. I'm not THAT big on rogue one because i'm not THAT big on spin-offs. But it's well made definitely. Agree on the demi-god thing, but my favourite light sabre battles are the ones in the OT. Luke/Vader in ESB I think takes the cake. It's the tone and atmosphere and tension that makes these things, not the "wow" factor with crazy powers they seemed to focus on once the CGI got heavy
  2. lol fiege would be bringing captain kirk into tatooine
  3. Didn't the lose like 21 of 26 or something heading in? They weren't playing that well lol. Hard? sure
  4. Ep. 9 ruined the sequels for me b/c bringing palpatine back weakens the OT and is dumb. Still think TLJ is a great movie though. When I marathon SW I generally just watch Episodes 1-6, the Lucas chapters - the cohesive narrative is what I look for in a series. Sequel trilogy wasn't properly planned. Or, more accurately, I watch episodes 4-6 followed by 1-3. *Always* order of release, always.
  5. Unfortunately every team seems to be in this boat
  6. I'll never understand the idea that one might be against making a "meaningless run to 9th" right about now. I'd be so much more hopeful the additions we have coming have at least a shot of turning things around if we weren't about to ask them to move the earth.
  7. The True McEichel I agree wholeheartedly with the bit of this I bolded.
  8. Well, 7/10 are Cs or RHD, so not a bad outlook at this time. Hopefully we fall on one of those 7 spots. Adding a guy named “Seamus” would be great. Is this draft still being considered a strong one or has Wright’s non-incredible start taken some of the lustre away?
  9. There's next to zero chance that Adams brings in a C through trade or FA that's as good as the Cs here, I'd wager. I agree with dudacek when he says they appear to be rather comfortable with the thompson mittelstadt krebs cozens outlook. It's draft pending but if they don't take a C high, I don't think they are going to sweat it
  10. So out of 32 teams and 64 players listed as playing the top pair, 61 play on their proper hand. 3 players in the league are listed as playing top pair on their offhand - MacKenzie Weegar plays left as a right shot for florida, (ekblad on right as a righty) Giordano plays the right as a left shot in seattle tj brodie plays the right side as a left shot toronto - - - You don't go 29/32 teams and 61/64 players with a held trend without that being meaningful - clearly teams prefer their best D men playing on their proper hands. That we see more playing their offhand further down the pairings IMO then points to the fact there's simply more left handed shot players than right: ideally you'd want handedness to line up all the way down, it's just not always possible given the unbalanced talent pool
  11. Does everyone know that Arizona's top pair RHD is named Dysin Mayo?
  12. I ran through all the teams a while back - what I found was that it's common on lower pairs for a d-man to play on his offhand, but it's very uncommon for a player to play their off-hand on a top pair. I believe you can count the off-hand top pair players on one hand, in fact it might only be one guy or two. I wouldn't say it "doesn't matter" as it the units still lean heavily overall towards being "properly handed", but it's common to see players on their offhand, as mentioned particularly on lower pairs. I'll take a quick look and see if the top pairs still hold by that
  13. Made it out to 18 movies at the theatre this past year after the covid-induced late start. Not an incredibly strong year for film IMO but a reasonable one - No Time To Die currently sits at the top of my list, actually.
  14. @LGR4GMis Wright still your #1 ranked guy?
  15. And those guys don't play the side Pysyk does, either. If not Pysyk, they'll certainly need another right shot body.
  16. His official home town arena is literally a 3-4 minute walk from my place. I'll give it a look.
  17. For fun, perused a list of the top NHL prospects in 2014, a year after Lazar had been taken. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2110101-ranking-the-top-50-nhl-prospects-after-the-2014-draft He's listed 19th overall here, ahead of such names as...Ehlers, Vasilevski, Gaudreau, Larkin, and Mark Stone lol 14th overall on ESPN's list https://www.espn.com/nhl/insider/story/_/id/11323131/top-100-prospects-1-50-nhl
  18. I'll vouch for your argument re: expectation. The expectations for Lazar were indeed pretty darn high, particularly after he captained the canadian world junior hockey team (9 points, 7 games, slightly outproducing what Krebs accomplished in his year) in 14-15, a year both McDavid and Reinhart were on the team
