Actually Tage had two really good hits at the Caps game and I saw at least one good hit last night. We don’t know if DG is telling or not taking these guys not to hit. I’m just going on my observations and these guys haven’t been physical all season. They use their sticks and try to poke pucks away. They dump the puck and hope their speed will get them to the puck before the defender hits them. Cozens was way more physical last season than this season.

Stillman was right there and did nothing. He’s probably learned that he’s not a fighter after being laid out.

Then why hasn’t he been aggressive? Wouldn’t you think he’d want to show his team what he can do?

Exactly my point. Why? Remember DG “pounded the table” when they got him. He thinks there is more to his game and I have a feeling DG is pushing him to be less aggressive so he can focus on offense.

I meant to say youth isn’t an excuse. Yeah room for improvement. Just be patient right🙄. i don’t feel Adams is going to make many changes in the off-season but i felt he wouldn’t do anything at the deadline but he did. He brought in some pretty tough hombres for some grit 🤣.

I guess you can’t sustain a super high powered offense for 82 games

Youth is a reality but also an excuse. Talent is great but if you don’t teach them how to play the game, the whole ***** game, then the team is doomed no matter how much talent you have.

So a team that plays defense 👍 got it. Also If one players injury caused the end of the season then there are way more problems than that

Just be patient. How many times have we heard that. People her get on my case because of my negativity. Well because we hear the same thing season after season and we get that same season after season. I will not be positive about this organization until they show they deserve it. This whole damn season we have seen how bad the defense was and they did nothing. Its a BS excuse to say offense is easier to learn than defense. When they it probably be better to teach them defense first. Also, letting the kids just play obviously isn’t good and this game proves it. Young athletes need structure and the Sabres lack that. I think DG is doing a huge disservice to these young men by being their buddy and not their coach.

This game shows the difference between a team that has structure vs a team that is allowed to play free. Playing free isn’t the best game plan

They know how to shut down the Sabres offense. If a team does thst its a guaranteed win.

The shots were close in DC for a period and a half. Then it ended with UPL facing 39 (to the Sabres 27) at the end of the SO and the Caps had almost no possession in the OT.
