  1. Moulson probably played with the better offensive players on the Sabres, while Ott played against the other teams better offensive players. For what they do, I'd rather pay to see Ott play. I'm afraid Moulson might turn into another Stafford.

  2. You'd think they could create a cool NYS division with Amerks, Sens, ADK, Albany, and Cuse but that might make too much sense.

And Utica. But if you look at distances, Bham is closer to Penn teams, Alb/Adk are closer to New England, and Roc-Syr-Utica are close to Canada.

Just switch Syr and Adk and it would make sense.

  3. Roc-Syr have been in different divisions for years, but they're still scheduled to play a bunch of games, as well as some against Utica. Now the Crunch's closest div team is Albany. It would be so sensible to just swap the Crunch and Flames.

The Crunch owner is from NYC, perhaps he thinks fans want to see the players from the 3 NY-NJ teams.

  4. I'd like to see Hodgson moved, don't like the contract and he's a weak back checker. I'll be disappointed if they don't sign Ott, he was their most entertaining player last season, and if they're not going to win, I want to be entertained. We're going to have to be patient with the goalies. I think it will be a couple more years before one of the young ones shows they can step up. Otherwise it will require acquiring one.

  5. I like the idea I heard; offer some veterans 1 year contracts, with the understanding that the Sabres will try to trade them to playoff teams at the deadline so they can compete for Cup. Then they can come back the next year if they want. Rinse and repeat.

Few of those guys have high ceilings but are a long way out and large question marks...

You underestimate their talent. Ullmark is the top rated goalie in Sweden, Leuwen had a great year in Roch, Makarov had a strong finish and playoff when called up to Roch, and Peterson had a good year in USHL. It only takes one to step forward in the next couple of years.

Miller was a 5th round pick.

I realized I could not watch the draft without NHLN, so I went on the site to upgrade today.

My package already costs 66/mo. The next level up adds a whole bunch of channels I don't care about but does add back NBCSN. That is 73/mo. However, it does not add NHLN back it. For that I have to go to the next level which is a bunch more channels I don't care about and NHLN. That is 81/mo/

I guess no draft for me.[/size]

FYI round 1 of the draft Friday is on NBCSN at 7pm. Then on Sat. rounds 2-7 are on NHLNet at 10am.

    Yup. Still hurts sometimes.

Worst was tearing my Achilles. Hearing that snap still gives me chills.

He'll never play golf again, because his weight displacement goes back, all his weight is on his right foot, and he'll push everything off to the right. He'll never come through on anything. He'll quit the game.

  9. I play ice hockey year round on weekends. A couple of years ago I got my legs taken out from behind twice in the same month, fell backwards, and hit my helmeted head. After the second time I was dizzy. The next day when I woke up the room was spinning and I was nauseous. It felt like when you spin around a lot with your eyes closed and try to walk. I couldn't walk straight. My wife and son had to help me to the car to go to the hospital.

I had a concussion and Vertigo. I missed a week of work because of dizziness, and it took over a month before I felt normal again. And of course I resumed playing. I did buy a Cascade Messier helmet, which is supposed to be the best you can get.
