This waiting feels like when you bid on EBay and are just waiting to see if someone tops your bid.

The dismantling of my Amerks has begun...sigh.
Don't worry, the Sabres will send down John Scott to play D in his place.
-
Now the Isles should offer Vanek for Callahan. Can you imagine the Ranger fans if Callahan showed up in an Isles uniform.

We are going to struggle to get to the cap floor, we don't need a salary dump. Drew is better than a third rounder. Unless it is a decent offer there is no reason to get rid of him. Someone has to play hockey for us
So they give Ellis a one year deal for $6 million to reach the cap floor for next season.

Anaheim could be making cap space to pick up Moulson and Halak as a package.

My guess is it was a modern Camelot situation: PLF (Lancelot) charms Kim Pegula so he has the ear of the queen. Terry (Arthur) finds out, and banishes PLF in a fit of jealousy. Meanwhile, what do the simple folk do?

Coming from the worst GM ever it really means a lot………I wish they could have that flash on the screen while he is making his Jacktard comments.
But he made that great trade for Alexei Yashin and then signed him to a 10 year $90 million contract. All he had to give up was some underachiever (Zdeno Chara) and a 1st round pick (Jason Spezza).

It's a day and a half until the trade deadline. It's almost five months until Bills training camp.
And today was the day the franchise tag had to be used in the NFL, which is a big issue regarding Byrd.
-
Most likely destinations for Moulson are LA and Anaheim.

You're right. This smells like a shitthouse door on a tunaboat.
My sympathies on your work experience.

Remember, he's a newbie and the new members who joined yesterday are all with the Sabres organization, their purpose here is to steer the narrative in a Sabres-friendly fashion.
So of course, his stream worked. He's probably right at FNC.
I actually joined a month ago but haven't posted, I've been on The Stadium Wall for years, and I'm in Syracuse.
I don't think we'll ever get the full story, but at this point my interest is in what Murray's next move is.
-
I watched the stream with no problems, guess I sucked up all the bandwidth.

When TP first bought the team I knew if the Sabres weren't a cup contender in 2 years people would turn on him.
His first act as owner was a mistake, keeping Darcy, so he brought it on himself. They could have begun this rebuild a couple years ago.

From Bucky Gleason:
@TBNbucky: Working phones all night. I'm hearing LaFontaine did not resign, but was fired. Many, many theories out there with blame on both sides.
@TBNbucky: One thing that is consistent: LaF and Murray agreed Nolan should stay. Power struggle was higher than Murray but not all execs involved.

Bulldog just tweeted that he and Jeremy White will be on WGR tomorrow 9-11am to discuss the Sabres.
-
So you're 3rd line material for the Sabres?
3rd line D. I actually do still play on a no checking team, so I'd be a good fit. I play Sunday mornings at 6:30am.

Where did all the new posters come from?
I came from St Louis as part of the Miller trade. Career minor leaguer but good depth player; a poor man's Jerry Korab.

...so any trade rumors!!!?
Following the Sabres' trade of Ryan Miller and Steve Ott on Friday, TSN's Bob McKenzie speculated that Tim Murray may immediately turn around some of the parts he received from the Blues. McKenzie noted on Twitter that he thinks Buffalo will attempt to send G Jaroslav Halak to Minnesota and RW Chris Stewart to the Senators. According to McKenzie, names from Ottawa that may intrigue Murray include Mark Stone, Matt Puempel, Mark Borowiecki, and Fredrik Claesson.

I hope Ted stays for those three years. He doesn't strike me as a great X & O tactician, but he's damned good at getting players to skate through walls for him. Just what a young team needs as it matures.
GO SABRES!!!
The head coach doesn't have to be the detail guy, the assistants can do that. But he has to be a leader and motivator. Rolston would have been a good assistant but not an NHL coach.

Mary Poppins stayed longer than PLF. Pegula is looking like the Daniel Snyder of the NHL.

<shifts eyes from left to right>
Not sure, but we've heard these stories before.....
Wife-swapping
We haven't had any good hockey wife-swapping stories in the B-lo in a long time.
What's this wife swapping story, I've never heard it.

Yeah, but how will he deal with all the illegal aliens?
