Was that Eichel’s first appearance? That would explain the interest.

Doan can probably keep #91 but Kesselring will have to change his number since #7 is retired.
#77 is available. 🤔

I think we tend to overvalue our players more than other teams do. Some teams may have been hesitant to give a young guy such a big contract. I think Utah’s owner is trying to copy Vegas and throw money at players to speed up their success, which may or may not work.
I look at the trade like we needed a right steering wheel snowplow, which are hard to get, so they cost more. We got a big fast one with low mileage, and they threw in a rugged snowblower, but we had to give up one of our sports cars to get it. We still have some sports cars, and some still on the production line, but we filled a need. Now we need to see if we can use other assets to get one or two dependable performance cars that have some mileage on them.

I like the trade. Peterka was not good without the puck which is most of the game. I would have hated if the Sabres had given him that contract. When I saw Kesslering play he was always noticeable, and fills a need for a big RHD. And they add a character Benson-like forward with a good pedigree.

This is the same guy who said they were buying out Samuelsson. He’s not very credible.

I can't believe they couldn't sell an NLL franchise. They are in demand. Was there a clause to keep them in Rochester? Maybe that's the rub. Blue Cross Arena is not exactly state of the art. A city the size of Rochester ought to have a 16-18K seat venue.
The attendance of their biggest attraction, the Amerks, averages around 6,000. So there is no justification for that large of a venue.

When Houston gets a team it will be named the Houston Aeros. Book it.
I don’t think so, too much time has passed. Most people don’t know the origin; that the team was originally going to be the Dayton Aeros as tribute to Ohio’s aviation history.
They will pick a name relevant to Houston and Texas.

What does he mean by “Dahlin’s name came up during the season”?
Likely one of the core players who wants to win now, so he wants changes.

Charlotte swept Laval in four games, outscoring them 18-6. They await the winner of Abbotsford - Texas.

Laval must have burned out vs the Amerks. Charlotte has won the first two games in Laval; 5-1 and 5-2.

It is what it is. They had a good season. They won a round. Young players got some playoff experience. Every player needs to stay there next year.
Not Kulich and Levi.

Can’t believe the 3 stars are Murray, Harvey-Pinard, and Kozak. Dunne had 4 points. 🤔

Shanahan and Tavares to Buffalo this offseason.
Yeah or Nah?
They need to invest their FA money in a defenseman like Ekblad.

Will Cuylle, Schneider, Rempe for Peterka and Byram
Rempe is a goon with little skill; no thanks. There are plenty of better hard to play against 4th liners who won’t embarrass the team.

Nice start by Florida, but now their defense has to stop pinching up and giving odd man rushes to Toronto.

The nhl could have its first fully southern Stanley cup finals if it’s Dallas and Carolina
2020 was Tampa over Dallas, and 2023 was Vegas over Florida.

I think Dallas has a better chance of beating Edmonton than Winnipeg would have, so there’s a silver lining. Next hopefully Toronto loses.
