I can't imagine that will be the starting 6 D. I could see Guhle and/or Nelson in the lineup; young faster offensive D.

One of ESPN's remaining shows that dared to allow criticism of players and leagues, The Sports Reporters, had their last show today. I rarely watch ESPN anymore as it's become more of a promotional than objective reporter of sports.

It would have opposite effect. It was done because too many goalies like Brouder were so good at handling the puck, they would go in the corner and pass it back out, thus negating the dump and chase.

For some perspective, a reminder that Edmonton ended a 10 year playoff drought this season, and it took them having the 1st pick in the draft for 4 of the last 7 drafts. And they supposedly were trying to win during those years.

The tank was a success, the Sabres got a franchise player that is both exciting and the cornerstone to build around for years. Take McDavid out of the draft and everyone would say the same.
