If I had Joe Sakic's number I would be calling him every week too, but I think that has more to do with him being my all-time favorite player. That's a tough one. I would have preferred RNH, but I'm not an NHL GM.

I couldn't agree more. I didn't anticipate a top 5 pick this year, but I hoped we'd win one of the three lotteries. This season has been very fun for me too and I'm enjoying watching hockey again. I was "McDaviding" myself in the same way I hoped the Islanders would finish 30th last year. Obviously I expected very little odds, but it's fun to dream up.

I would think everyone that wasn't expecting the playoffs this year was hoping to win the lottery and get Matthews. Why wouldn't you dream of that?

Put me in the category of in favor of home whites. You would think the NHL would like it too, since it would probably lead to increase jersey sales.

You're comparing an overage season and a post draft year to an overage season and AHL year. Compare draft years to draft years, post draft to post draft, overage to overage, etc. Remember last year how people were concerned Reinhart wasn't lighting it up playing in his post draft season? Same concept.

I would trade them Matthews for OEL and their first in a heart beat and I'm not sure they would turn it down since he is a local boy.

This is the part that I think everyone is disagreeing with. Myers was incredibly stagnant while he was here outside out his Calder season. Armia was an incredibly huge disappointment while he was here, even though he was probably the one player Sabres fans which would pan out.

I think EIchel looks much better in 15 than 41. Numbers in the forties just seem weird to me. I'm happy you left off 91 or there might be a serious issue.

In my opinion Shattenkirk is better, but when considering the cost, a run a Yandle would suit this team much better. I don't think we have anything that we'd all be willing to give up for Shattenkirk, but I think we could fit Yandle into our budget.
