Just thinking about the draft and free agency.

Rather than piling up on even more high-priced WRs, should the Bills consider getting another decent TE who can both block and catch?  That could present a real dilemma for a defence on pass plays while helping with blocking on run plays.  He does not need to be an every-down player, but useful enough to play every down if need be.  Besides, the defence could use all the practise it can get covering TEs.

Great idea, but I've recently learned on this very board that Dawson Knox is steady as a rock and beyond reproach.  It's the playcalling/gameplan, not extreme inconsistency.  I too, would like a security blanket tight end that you trust is gonna catch the ball and not have games where he's a liability.

I mean ... he probably won't score 9 TD's next year ... but he did this past season and co-led the league in TE TD's. And then there was that superhuman catch for a TD against NE in the wild card game. The guy was incredible.

Either really good or really, really bad.  I want consistency from a TE.  He's inconsistent, I'll answer @JujuFish too

Anyway, I'm done with it.   He's had the biggest drops on the team since he's been here.  Repeatedly.

It was the right move to hire the guy that the team's best player and unquestioned leader wanted to have hired, especially when that guy will provide continuity.

Good for Dorsey for using the Giants as leverage to get better terms (I presume).

I'm not saying that guy hasn't had an issue with drops, at times, but ... I cannot fathom how a fan of the Bills would feel anything other than good about Knox as the team's TE.

They can do better at TE.  At least bring in another decent one so you don't have to rely on Knox's inconsistency.

So you look at a *single* game and try to generalize from it? Are you sure you're not trolling right now?  Let's look at his previous game: 5 catches for 89 yards and 2 TDs.  Or how about the previous playoff game before that, our loss last year to KC: 6 catches for 42 yards and a TD.

It was an example.  Knox is overrated and disappears and drops passes.  I'm not going over every game log.  Here's some tweets from the Patriots game:

Inconsistent is my main argument against Knox.  You're proving my point.

    Based on what evidence?

His stats against the Chiefs playoffs 2022:

REC YDS AVG TD LONG TGTS

    Dawson Knox 2 9 4.5 0 8 4

I'm sure I can find more, but we need more from our #1 TE.  He's also had some huge drops in big games.  Not gonna look that up.  I lived it already.

Buffalo would have beat the Bengals  easily.

If you say so.  They're going to the Superbowl and actually beat the Chiefs in crunch time instead of royally ***** up.  I guess we'll find out next year.

Bottom line is that Bud Selig is in the hall of fame on the backs of a league that was juiced out of their minds. He knew and didn't care in the least. "Get me some ratings Big Mac and Sammy! Keep hitting balls to other planets, Barry!" Chicks dig the long ball was a marketing campaign.

The fact that Jeff Bagwell, Mike Piazza and David Ortiz are all in the Hall while the MLB career leaders in Hits, the MLB career leader in HR and the American League all time K's leader aren't is completely ridiculous.

Oh, and Bonds and Clemens never actually tested positive for banned substances.

PS: The Hall is still my favorite museum.

Dude, Piazza is not in the same category as any of those others, as far as steroid use and evidence.

  8. Every decision was super conservative from the moment the go ahead TD was scored.  The XP, the kickoff, the defense for 2 ***** plays in a row.  The most conservative approach was taken in each case.  McDermott and/or the coaching staff played scared and froze/choked.

Hopefully they/McDermott learn from this.  Still hope both head coordinators are elsewhere next year, but I'll also be keeping an eye on McDermott because he's not a great close game coach and we kinda need that very badly.  Maybe he's taken us as far as he's able?

They play the NFC central next year. The Rams game is the added 17th game vs a non conference opponent and it’s in LA because we played that game at home his year vs Washington. In 2023, we will play the extra game at home vs. an NFC South team; most likely that division champ because we will win the AFCE again in ‘22.

If or when KC wins the SuperBowl, there is a significant possibility that the Bills play at the Chiefs for the Thursday Night Opener

They also play the NFC West next year and have the Rams at home.

Question, as the receiving team, you can fair catch a kick-off, but does time run off the clock?

In addition, when you fall on a squib kick, as the receiving team, does time run off the clock?

I think McDermott thought that his D would give up less than 40 yards in 13 seconds and somehow not still allow enough time for the field goal as well.  Those 2 defensive plays rivaled 3rd and 13 in SB XXV for how horrible they were.

  12. D blew it.  Needs to be overhauled.  13 ***** seconds is all they had to hold them for and couldn't even do that.

Hughes is shot.  Let him go.  They're going to pay Edmunds a ton of money, which is a mistake.  He was a nonfactor last night.  They need a much better MLB and D Line to be able to stop teams like the chiefs.

13 seconds.  Going to go down in Bills lore as another in a long line of heartbreakers.

  13. Just scanned the old Nylander thread.  He was hazed and mistreated.  I think that's something almost every athlete goes through.  Some respond to it, some don't.  Cal O'Reilly is an ***** and not a good choice as a mentor as well.

I think Chicago could have been, and was, a change of scenery where he seemed to do a bit better, but I'm not sure his game ultimately will work in the NHL without a lot of other pieces making it all work.  Pittsburgh will be interesting if he gets a chance.  They love their cheap reclamation projects.  Just read an article somewhere about how good of a well rounded and valuable piece Evan Rodrigues has become for them.
