In theory, having someone of Ennis' talent level and pedigree on the fourth line is a good thing. But little Tyler just isn't the player he once was. This makes me sad. Can he ever recapture his former capabilities?

12 games in 18 days vs a team just coming off their break. Very good, mr scheduler man.
That said, we're a good third period team and we can play desperate because we got 2 yesterday.

Go Sabres, make it four in a row, we need our Kane to be better than their Kane.
I didn't think this would be the case, especially given our Kane's injury to start the season. But our Kane has more goals than their Kane.

We've looked good with him (and Eichel) in the lineup on several occasions -- certainly we're quicker with Fedun.
I hope he makes it back to Rochester. I like him as a 7, rushing d. But... If I'm a playoff team looking for cheap playoff depth... I snag him.

One point back. The "too many teams to leapfrog" thing doesn't really apply anymore. If we keep playing like this, we'll likely make the playoffs. We control our own destiny.
I love the optimism.
We'll be on break next week -- so by next Saturday Boston, Toronto, and Ottawa will all have played 2 or 3 more. We will learn patience.
Good, fun game. Lehner and Eichel were our best players. Kane very solid. Nice effort. Now... let's get a pint or two tomorrow, too.

Shattenkirk doesn't have a contract next year? He's pretty good with the puck. I wouldn't trade our up-and-coming talent for him, but I wouldn't be averse to him on the roster.

Baptiste can stay
Completely unrelated to reality (and I'm well behind the live game, so ... yay, I'm glad we will score again)... But in EA NHL 2014, I did a GM campaign and the game loved Baptiste. He became Jack's RW of choice for years and years.

I like Rob Ray for the entertainment factor. But most teams I've watched have a play by play guy, a color guy and an on-ice guy. They have Rob doing too much. I'd like to see Marty step in so they have three guys. Some nights Dunleavy can call game, RJ can do other............ some nights Rob can be on the ice with Marty up top with RJ/DD, some nights Marty can be on the ice with Rob up top with RJ/DD. That way there's four different combinations, it breaks the monotony.
Rob made the highlight of the day so far on the St Louis broadcast while helping fix Pang's monitor with some tape. He is the heart. But it's true, we need someone doing analysis up in the booth with the full view.

Seriously, enough of the kid anthem singers. It's not cute any more. (It never really was). That was nauseating.
I was over in the kitchen... and radio only because it's on NBCSN so I can't watch it over the interwebs.... I cringed from 30 feet away. That was who we selected to represent us on a national audience? I didn't know it was a kid... that makes me feel bad. But still. I don't feel that bad. That was not a good rendition of either anthem.

Memories... of the way we were!
Here's the lineup we iced in Vancouver, 3/23/2014. We scored on 2 of our first 3 shots and I was happy... but from that point on it was obvious we were AHL-level. It might not have been exactly rock bottom, but... take a look at this lineup! Leino couldn't even make it with the injuries.
