Nice forecheck, Jack. Wait for Eichel, Montour. Cut the chatter Red-2.

There...there.

Montour is a career +10. How's he doing with us, though?

Why are any of us holding a banana?

Olofsson knee is more machine than man. And also, good on going to the net. Keeps the goalie from just playing shot, and Golofsson takes advantage.

Sorry for his injury, but, being completely honest, he belonged there long before the injury.
Well, sure... but for a game here and there to get a respite and see the game, not for an indefinite amount of time with possible lingering effects and an increased likelihood of future concussions.

That's what Sobotka's for!

Finally a penalty called for Eichel

Bogo pinched and got caught... but Montour is quick.

Olofsson didn't miss a shift. (well, maybe one) Just a flesh wound.

The injuries in Buffalo and Rochester are getting silly. Keep on keepin' on, Golofsson.
Dea crashing the net. Asplund looking good again. Sure, bottom 6 guys, but we need those guys to provide a threat, too.

Apparently Asplund has pretty darn good anticipation bc he almost jumped another pass at the blue line
Asplund will make them pay the price for their lack of vision. Also, great kill.

Oh back to bloody bloody hell. Still... the opportunity to get a PP in 7 seconds and tie it up, and instead down 3 and temporarily 4. Rough.
-
Oh bloody bloody bloody hell. Know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.

Oh bloody, bloody hell.

Oh bloody hell.

Nice effort Asplund. Let's tie this up on the PP.

And that crappy icing call
Oof. The skaters let up and even TB's announcers were surprised by the call. Alright. Gotta kill this well like we've done this game.

Over on the TB feed... I always liked Brian Engblom as a color guy. ESPN2, probably.

Nice pressure PK2.
Just now, R_Dudley said:Is it me or do those Refs appear to get in the pucks path on us more than the other teams...
Certainly the last few games. It's been noticeable how often the puck hits their skates and stays in a zone, or they bump our guy.

What has the bottom half of that list done that warrants that order? Bryson and Fitzpatrick played in NCAA and put up lesser numbers. Hickey's done little. Redmond, MacWilliam, Paestch are career AHLers. They determined he's lower ranked from 3-4 practices?
This is all speculation, but Bryson and Fitzpatrick have another year on their entry-level contracts than does Stephens. And Stephens was a GMTM pick and not Botterill's. It could even be for a change of scenery or to give him a chance against a less-stocked organization's depth chart or because he doesn't make quick enough outlets. You never know exactly why.
Oddly, Stephens now is in the TB organization... with Little Cal Foote.

Be interesting to see if Bogo and Dahlin look really good again tonight.
They both really compliment each other.
Bogo: How you feeling kid? You don't look so bad to me.
Rasmus: Ah, but you look strong enough to pull the ears off a Kucherov.
Bogo: Well... he's got two of them, Rasmus the Junior.

Well, for starters, Stephens is a LD and Spencer is a RD. This matters because Cincinnati only had 1 true RD.
Spencer is bigger. Spencer has more AHL games under his belt.
They are the same age. Both were drafted in 2015: Spencer in 2nd round, Stephens 5th round.
I don't know if Stephens was injured or not, but he had only played 3 games this year. Last year Stephens
was +39. Either way, they were winning without Stephens; so, why not trade for a RD?
Stephens was a top D on the Cyclones last year and this year he hasn't played much. Either injury or out of favor, but regardless, they needed balancing of their pairings. Neither of them is getting past the logjam we have at defense in Rochester.
I watched him in the WHL when he was paired with Adam Foote's kid. Foote played stay at home and used his smarts and size to dissolve any attacks, plus a good active stick. But Stephens could skate compared to Littlefoote and I was hoping he'd turn that into an AHL career. Hope Spencer can help the Cyclones achieve in the playoffs this year.

Ooof Risto, it's on 3-on-3. Don't get 2 caught below the goal line.
