Felt like we escaped.
Agree with @Randall Flagg we mostly look pretty good, but something feels off.
Stretch out with your feelings. You know it to be
truea Sabres victory, provided they come alive in the 2nd. -
Stay angry, Larry. And close out the period. Whew. Ok --- time to go walk the pup!
-
Huh. Or... take another penalty I suppose.
-
Let's go get a shortie. (And not give up a powerplay goal on the same penalty)
-
That's a tenacious forecheck. We just need to break one up ice quickly and turn it into a transition goal while they've got 2 men deep.
Skinner is. Woohooo! to finish my thought: Skinner is totally snakebitten lately. But he's gonna get one.
Burning down the Vese!

Asplund has to put that in.
Or at least on net.

That was a recording of Tenor Joe Byron who was the Doug Allen of his day.
Yes --- but the recording included the '80s organ. It was nice.
This goal.... not so nice.

You missed the pun.
Nah, I got it, but we're buying Bogo in order to get one. Or do we trade Bogo and also give away someone else?
I like the organ accompaniment on the anthem.

If we trade BOGO, is it buy one player, get one free?
Depends on the trade, but I think if I'm another GM I'm asking Buffalo to buy Bogo (pay some salary) in order to get one in the form of a pick.

Two teams playing well --- should be fun.

No, the first year he did one hip, the second year the other hip, now he has to do the other other hip.
And not just the menhip. But the womenhip and the childrenhip, too.

Having been at Vancouver's '80s night this last weekend and a pretty festive crowd there, I'm hoping Buffalo goes all-in the '80s silly.

I wonder if they cover rent. I'll bet they have some type of minimal stoped for food as well.
They have to get a per diem/travel stipend. But I've traveled a lot for work (you know, Star Destroyers and all) and being away from the home and family for 5 days in a row puts a lot of stress on everyone involved. And if you're not providing the income that allows to supplement your absence (e.g., childcare because the spouse also needs a full-time job), these guys have to be doing it out of love of the game and competition. And the "maybe one day". That's really admirable.

While the Sabres marketing teams don’t always nail it... I have to give them credit for the t-shirts on the seats. It looks amazing. That was a brilliant idea.
Go Buffalo..
It does look great. And brightens up the arena. And... as always.... "How will we get all the people to move to Chia Earth?" "Free t-shirts."
Granted, these are only free with admission.

“As of publication, the ECHL has a $13,260 weekly salary cap for 20 players and minimum player salary of $500 per week.”
So 13,260/20 would be a maximum of $663/week if everyone is paid equally. Yikes, that's low pay for a job that requires travel every other week.

I guess those are t-shirts they put over the top?
I completely misread this as "those t-shirts [are going to] put them over the top" to which, I say: yes.

General suckitude and the return of Dahlin would be my guess.
General Suckitude will run and hide as he always does. He is a coward.

Nice to see CJ Smith and Leier (and Burton, too although I'm completely unfamiliar with him) back in the lineup. Even with those reinforcements, the Amerks still dressed 7 D last night. Was Casey Fitzgerald still playing wing? Good on him to stay in the lineup since the D-corps is stacked.
What's really fun is their record while missing all those forwards. (And still missing Wilson, Elie, Thompson, and Asplund. Although getting Asplund in an Amerks sweater might not happen again.)

Is there a more disappointing cheese than Monterey Jack?
It evokes images of maidens in frocks on a wind swept cliffsides, or high danger surf areas.
But in the end, it's really just plain ol' American cheese in block form.
Even Pepper Jack is just a lame attempt to make a lame cheese somewhat interesting by putting substandard pepper chunks in it to keep me interested.
Monterey Jack is all about the melt. You don't put it on your charcuterie board or serve it straight up, but when you melt it and you don't have to worry about stringy globs catching in your mouth or an mess of oil on the top of your dish. It can also blend nicely --- use the cheddar for the kick, use the jack for the smooth melt. Use the mozzarella for the stretch, use the jack for the slack.

He is an extremely skilled/talented player. I’m not going to try to sell him though because I actually think there are some character/off ice concerns there. But if the cost is Scandella or Bogo, I’m in I guess.
A rental F for a rental D? That uses our surplus to our advantage, even if don't include Galchenyuk in any long-term plans. But... as to character... we can't afford anyone to float. We're not talented enough to cover for the one guy who just shows up once in awhile.
