    This makes me happy.

My friends all rag on me for my Wisconsin roots-appreciation of the High Life. But the commercials were gold. And the color is gold. And the taste is... well... if you eat a pretzel, then crack open a can of High Life and that little splash of beer that forms on the lip of the can when you pop the top....  eat a pretzel, then sip just that splash. And it does taste like champagne. For a moment.

But the High Life and Coors (Banquet, not Lite), those are fine little chugging, moving furniture, hot sunlight, Packers game beers. Here in Seattle, they're frowned upon. But all the fresh hopped IPAs are out right now, and they're pretty sweet in their own right. Bottoms up. (And time to catch up to y'all from the beginning of the game.)

  2. I’m seeing the D switch as an indicator that Montour is getting close. Scandella-Miller was a 3rd pairing in preseason/practice and Dahlin-Montour should be an ideal 2A to balance the 2B of McCabe-Risto.

And I make that distinction because at this point in his career Dahlin clis not yet able to anchor a 1. But he will be. He will be.

Where does this leave Joker? In a great spot to play top minutes in the A or as the 5/6 if we move anyone for a forward.

Isn’t defensive depth (and youthful depth at that), a nice thing to have?

Kinda like building Death Stars until we learn how to defend the reactor core properly?

They said it was daft to build a Death Star, but I built it all the same... just to show 'em. The Rebels blew it up. So I built a second Death Star. And the Rebels blew it up. So I built a third one. That absorbed a sun, cracked apart, and the Rebels blew it up. But the fourth one is still here....   (apparently resting on the seabed, partially exposed to the air, and ready to Rise up.)  And that's what we're gonna do. We're going to have so many two-goal leads that we'll always be in the lead.

  4. I say just keep building two-goal leads until we learn how to close them out neatly.

Last night was a heavy, desperate team at home -- on our second of a back-to-back, 3rd in 4 days, with cross-country travel -- and our goalie stole and fourth line stole it for us. We'll need that every so often.

I honestly cannot say I have ever seen so many missed shots by a team as the Kings did tonight. It was like they all were stricken with near-sightedness

These shots on goal, too accurate for Sand People Native Tatooiners.... Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise.

Feels like when we had Arturs Irbe here under Nolan and the goalies were too good for the tank.

Trade Enroth! He's gonna thwart all our plans!
