  1. I decided to roll my Win10 upgrade back to 7 today before my month was up. Turns out I can't do that because when you use the media creation tool to make a Windows 10 disc/usb drive, it deletes some of the files necessary to roll back your Windows. Unbelievable.
  2. I'm ready for a new season. My RB situation sucked last year, and everyone always beat me with waivers. Gotta be better if I want to win it all.
  3. A cynic might say that it's not new, just a rebranded 7-year old game that got popular on Twitch.
  4. I love random sports facts like the above. Here's a few more: 54 QBs have had at least 5 games of 4 TDs. Fitzmagic is tied for the worst winning percentage (.500) among those QBs. Johnny Unitas has the most wins (13) of the QBs who have gone undefeated in such games. Steve Tasker (7) is tied for the 3rd most Pro Bowls in Bills history (Bruce Smith - 11, Ruben Brown - 8). Jim Kelly obviously has the most 4th quarter comebacks in Bills history with 21, but Joe Ferguson is right behind him with 19. Jack Kemp and Dennis Shaw are distant thirds with 6. (On the other side of the field, Brady has the most such comebacks against Buffalo with 5). Fred Jackson is one of only 3 Bills RBs with 3 consecutive 100-yard games.
  5. Feb '05 checking in. 10 and a half years? Sheesh, I was still in high school when I joined the board.
  6. My preferences (though I will make do if I need to): Not on a Tuesday or Thursday night Not on the 30th
  7. I think I'll stick around.
  8. It seems fair to me that, if I leave, my replacement should be allowed to choose a keeper from my team if they so desire. How is the draft going to work with 1 keeper? Are all "keepers" going to be taken in the same round, and what round is that? Perhaps I stay and decide not to keep anyone. How does that play out with the draft?
  9. My upgrade took a long time. Something like 3 hours. The fresh install I did was very quick, though.
  10. I'm down for 6 point passing TDs and PPR, but I have no desire for keepers. I'll give up my spot for someone else if that's what the league wants to do.
  11. :P With time and enough tweaks, I will be. In the mean time, I'll do my best impression of a crotchety old man, yelling at new UIs to get off my lawn.
  12. Tannehill is more promising than any QB Buffalo has had in years, and that makes me sad.
  13. I can't stand the Metro UI; I don't want my OS to feel like it was designed for tablets. It's filled with bloatware that I'd never use and can't be uninstalled without going into Power Shell and knowing the proper commands to get rid of them. OneDrive is especially bad for this. It's filled with, effectively, spyware. Fortunately, Microsoft allows you to disable much of the data collection, but it's all enabled by default. Automatic updates are fine; forced automatic updates are not. Forced automatic updates are even worse when they include faulty drivers, a problem that's already happened on a couple of occasions with Windows 10. There's a lot of inconsistency since they're trying to blend Metro with the classic UI. For example, some settings you have to go into the Metro settings to change, others you change from the control panel. The Start menu is still pathetic. It's just an interface for the abysmal creation known as live tiles, and an alphabetical list of installed apps. There's more I could complain about, but these are the aspects that pop to mind immediately.
  14. Windows 10 is pretty awful, IMO. I'd stick with Windows 7 if Microsoft weren't artificially limiting DirectX 12 to Win10.
  15. No. I think Dareus and Mario are both among the best at their positions in the league and I'm not ready to say who's the better talent, but Dareus had PFF's 4th best rating among DTs/NTs, whereas Mario had the 9th best grade among 4-3 DEs.
  16. Count me among the people who wouldn't put Hughes in the top 5.
  17. I'm game for round 2.
  18. I would be disappointed with a loss to KC and Houston just as I was disappointed with losses to them this last season.
  19. PC gaming can be expensive. If you're the type that has to have the latest and greatest, you're going to pay for it. However, if you're just looking for a solid gaming PC and not the best of the best, you'll still get a better visual experience than anything consoles can offer. There are some common misconceptions of the cost of PC gaming. First, you don't need to constantly make upgrades to your computer to play the latest games. I built my desktop over 6 years ago, and have made a single upgrade (the video card, for under $200) in that time. My PC today is still more powerful than consoles. Add to that, I've been running at true 1080p since I built the thing. Most console games today are still upscaled to 1080p. Second, PC doesn't have a $50/year charge to play online. Granted, there are other bonuses with getting Xbox Live Gold and Playstation Plus, but making money off of people wanting multiplayer is the main reason they exist. On PCs, that's completely free. Third, actually buying the games for PC is cheaper all around. For example, PC gamers were able to preorder Arkham Knight from GreenManGaming for $36. Even if you're a member of Best Buy's Gamer's Club Unlocked, their discount didn't come close in comparison. PC games also tend to go in big sales more quickly and more often. This one depends a lot on the publisher (Activision games, especially COD, rarely get good discounts early in their life), but I've gotten games that are a year old at 75% off. Due to the above factors, it is quite conceivable that PC gaming is actually cheaper in the long run, depending on the situation. Someone who plays lightly, sticking to a game for months on end, will be better off, financially, playing on a console unless they already have a solid PC for other reasons and just need a video card upgrade. Someone who buys and plays lots of games, including online? They might very well spend less money on PC. I'd like to note that I'm only talking about the cost of PC gaming; I'm not saying PC gaming is better than console gaming. There are many reasons to play on consoles, and I'm not disparaging that choice at all. I've been playing on consoles myself since the NES, and there will always be a place in my living room for a console or two.
  20. Arkham Knight has horrible performance issues on the PC right now. Very disappointing.
  21. IGN released their Arkham Knight review. Gave it 9.2 and said: "Amazing. Batman: Arkham Knight is an impressive game on almost every level, with non-stop variety and great action."
  22. I don't know anyone who was expecting it to be nearing completion by now. 2016 was always assumed the earliest possible release year.
  23. I don't know how many people here play games on their PC, but Steam has been having their summer sale for a couple days now. They rotate special deals every 12 and 24 hours on the front page. http://store.steampowered.com/
  24. I'm not a CoD fan (or much of a FPS fan in general), but I'd be a hypocrite to make fun of CoD fans buying a very similar game every year because I do that with Assassin's Creed.
  25. I figured I'd mention this since we've discussed Fallout in here. Bethesda officially announced Fallout 4 today. I cannot wait!
