  1. It's not about caring what the media thinks. He is the GM of the team and the voice of it. He didn't handle his statements with the poise or care of a professional; he left a star player out to dry and treated him like a high school girlfriend in a public breakup. That's not how good, professional organizations act. At least his presser today was better. I'm not going to call him spoiled for using the avenues he had to his disposal to do what's best for him. When he signed his contracts I'm sure the Sabres promised him we'd be competitive and they failed to live up to that billing. Athletes don't have an out-clause for when the employer doesn't live up to their side of a bargain so this is what happens. If the Sabres did their job he'd still be here.
  2. How is he spoiled? We sucked for years and he has a window. Is he obligated to waste his entire career here because we drafted him?
  3. I'm pretty sure @Thorny has went down this rabbit hole extensively.
  4. Something something Eichel is a terrible person something something. I think @darksabre said it awhile ago, but it's easy to understand the fan mentality. We're stuck with the Sabres, of course we don't want them to be the bad guy. But they're not blameless in this at all, and throwing everything at Jack as a scapegoat for the Sabres decade of ineptitude is just poor.
  5. Yeah that's a no. Surgery or not his decision revolved around the rebuild.
  6. Yup. Sabres screwed the pooch by not fielding a competent organization and team for years with him. Recognized it wasn't working and went for a rebuild. The decision to rebuild was correct but it also didn't align with Eichel's timeline, which is fine. I don't think it's KA vs Eichel. I look at it vs Sabres organization pre-KA that drove KA and Eichel to this. I also don't think KA handled this well at all in the media.
  7. We sucked for years and he wanted out while he was still in his prime to win a championship. Honestly I don't blame him. Wonder if McDavid does the same.
  8. I mean the first years of Eichel, before last year. I have no doubt the uncertainty of what he will be going forward.
  9. The deal for Eichel is finally done, and this is the main piece. Whether or not Krebs pans out will be huge for the Sabres, lets get to know him a little better...and by that I mean @LGR4GM @rakish somebody else, tell us about Krebs. 10. Anyone have a good shuttle service from Rochester to Buffalo for about 10 people? I've already tried S&S limos and USCoachways 🤢 There has to be a better backup, anywhere else, than Newton. He's a distraction (his own admission) and he's not even good.
  11. Maybe, depends on when really.
  12. I don't recall that being the mindset from the start.
  13. This is why a return not including Zegras or Rossi always stuck in my craw.
  14. My dad is a big Braves, Georgia Dawgs, Red Bull F1, and Bills fan. Really having an all time year for himself
