  1. I keep thinking the relationship isn’t trashed either but then my mind goes back to the coach, GM and team through various forms of media refusing to acknowledge the Jack Eichel exists.
  2. A few more NFL players coming out as massive idiots I mean anti vaxxers including Cardinals DeAndre Hopkins and Patriots Matt Judon. Stefon Diggs and Tyrel Dodson made some subtweets that could be interpreted as shots at their anti vaxx teammates.
  3. If we were trying to compete and needed cap space we would
  4. A lot of the argument against Power (including yours) has included how many young LHD we have in the system. 🤔
  5. If Friedman is correct (these days it feels like that might be a long shot) and none of those teams have gotten Jack’s medical records then Jack isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, at least not to those teams. A team isn’t going to get his medical records and then make a split-second decision to give up what it would take within this short pre-draft time frame. The reason I want him traded so badly right now is because if he isn’t traded by the end of tomorrow the trade window goes from a matter of hours to literally months and I don’t want to talk about this ***** anymore.
  6. It’s not about being loaded. It’s about looking at what Kahun brings to the table and considering where that fits into a lineup. We already have those guys.
  7. There’s no place for him in our lineup even if we move Samson and Jack.
  8. He’s a UFA…
  9. One we should have made …
  10. As someone who used to have Tank as my username and a tank as my picture I can confidently say this team isn’t tanking even if they trade Jack, Samson and Risto.
  11. Friedman does some serious waffling on his earlier that report that teams are out on Eichel. Says people are "telling him" those teams are now circling back and could be back in. Wonders if Calgary is now in desperation mode.
  12. Friedman's post-expansion draft 31 thoughts podcast. Not a lot here. Notes if you don't feel like listening: - There were no pre-expansion trades. Zero. (Wow, Seattle should be embarrassed - what a missed opportunity and some unexplainable picks) - Friedman does not believe Giordano will be traded. He doesn't think that they would've brought him to Seattle. Giordano struggled emotionally with being picked. - Tyler Pitlick has been traded but he doesn't know where yet. He said probably Calgary but Philly could be there, as well. - Seattle has talked to the Rangers about Strome. - Speculates Anthony Beauvillier is a situation to watch because there's questions about whether they can fit him under the cap (yes, please). - Adam Larsson basically chose Seattle over Edmonton - the contract he got with the Kraken was essentially the same Edmonton was offering. - Barkley Goodrow likely signs with the Rangers as soon as the freeze lifts. - Hyman is very likely going to Edmonton and it's just a matter of whether Toronto does a sign-and-trade or not. He says it's going to be about $40M regardless of whether it's 7 or 8 years which makes zero sense because that's a $700K difference per year. - Seattle is interested in Seth Jones.
  13. Jack gets one so why not Samson!? This one feels like it might be heading toward a resolution. This is a couple days old by David Pagnotta had some pretty strong words on Samson's future being outside of Buffalo. https://www.thefourthperiod.com/pagnotta/spotlight-on-seattle-as-expansion-draft-looms#.YPXX4clZEfo.twitter SABRES WORKING ON REINHART DEAL The Buffalo Sabres have been working the trade lines and GM Kevyn Adams has been putting in the work. Aside from Jack Eichel, who still doesn’t have a clear path on what surgery he will have to repair his herniated discs, the Sabres have multiple players they’re chatting about. Pending restricted free agent Sam Reinhart is not expected to be with the Sabres much longer. The Sabres had talks with a few teams about Reinhart leading up to Saturday’s freeze and depending on whom you talk to, there’s uncertainly over how close a move actually was. But the writing is on the wall and Reinhart’s long-term future in the NHL doesn’t have the Sabres in it. Moving Reinhart, who had an impressive 25-goal season under the circumstances, will bring back a solid return for the Sabres. They’d like to replace his spot in the lineup with a young, NHL-ready player as part of a package. Trade talks will continue this week and the Sabres could make headway around the NHL Draft. Adams is willing to stand firm, though, until he gets the package he wants.
  14. Now that the expansion draft is done I ask all of you: is there anything on that team you're interested in now? What would a Reinhart deal look like if they had interest?
  15. If it's Minnesota it's basically got to be either Dumba, Fiala or Talbot. Talbot might make sense for both sides but they might not be ready to give Kahkonen full control of their net. Their decision to protect Talbot over Kahkonen is a good indication they are not ready to do that. I do wonder if Minnesota does send Dumba our direction but asks for a young D on a low salary that can step in right now considering they'd be losing Suter, Dumba and Soucy all in one offseason. Samuelsson could be the guy added. Eichel and Samuelsson for Rossi, Boldy, Dumba and a 1st. I don't want to move Samuelsson but he's a guy that makes a ton of sense in Minnesota.
  16. One team I think they outsmarted was St. Louis. I was all over Tarasenko and still sort of wish they had taken him for the fun of it but I have a feeling they have a wink wink deal done with Jaden Schwartz which would mean they end up with Vince Dunn AND a good top-six winger in the deal. Tarasenko would've very likely been a pick and flip.
  17. Same. I am setting some low expectations for tomorrow. I think the Sabres will be too slow on the trigger and it doesn't sound like Seattle did a lot. My gut tells me Risto is moved before the draft. I've moved from "I highly doubt Jack is traded this week" to "I think it's unlikely but definitely maybe."
  18. And this is EXACTLY the environment he would thrive in. He's going to be bad at play by play (I've heard him do it, he's bad) but this? This was all him. I like that you capitalized "Him" like Jake Allen is god.
  19. It was a random doodle by Sam Darnold when they asked him to draw the Panthers logo There are reports going in both directions. A few saying there are a few that will be announced at 1pm tomorrow and then a few reports saying there is maybe one or two at most. Either way, I think Seattle badly overplayed their hand and missed some big opportunities here. Reports that they asked for a 1st and a 3rd from Calgary to protected Mark Giordano who will be 38 in a couple months and is a UFA next offseason. They asked for multiple picks and a prospect for Montreal to protect Jake Allen and then Montreal just gamed the hell out of them and protected Allen, exposing their two most important players and ending up losing nobody. It's clear teams learned from their mistakes with Vegas but I also think Seattle just swung too far.
  20. Dreger says Hall and the Bruins are finalizing a four-year $24M deal. That’s only very far behind Servalli’s earlier report but passing along.
  21. This is a good point and comparison. After some thought I missed the mark with my retort to @LGR4GM’s comment. It’s not that I think ESPN is some bastion of great sports coverage (they do a good job with live sporting events and have some good shows mixed in with some very bad ones). I just want to allow some room for hope on the NHL front because NBC, who has the best live sports coverage, failed the NHL over the years and I’d like to see the game grow. ESPN certainly has the resources to do it.
  22. Already seeing reporters do the traditional back off where they initially said earlier today there were a lot of deals that we didn’t know about with Seattle just to turn around and now say there aren’t many if any that will be announced. NHL reporters are exhausting.
  23. That would be nuts but highly entertaining. The tanking would be wild.
  24. Dunn - Larrson Oleksiak - Sourcy Fleury - Giordano Thats a solid top six. There’s no way they find a spot for Borgen unless they do indeed make several moves. This top six is also almost entirely left handers.
  25. If he isn’t traded I think it’s pretty likely
