McKenzie: Looks like David Backes going to market. STL took a run at re-signing him this morning. BOS significant interest in Backes. David Perron has narrowed his choices to two teams. A return to STL is a possibility as Blues are believed to be one of the two teams.

Somebody would have to do the work to prove it but multiple people on Twitter said his numbers improved when Frans Nielsen was his center. Sounds like they dipped slightly: Okposo had 1.74 5v5 points per 60 with Nielsen and 1.95 with Tavares.

I think this is a deal Murray and Murray may have the parameters of in place but both agreed to wait and see what happens today. Girgensons and a pick makes a lot of sense. Ennis, a prospect and a pick could make sense.
