Is Kucherov the best player in the league?

I’ve been saying this team needs a veteran leader who is actually capable on the ice for about two years now but every time I suggest somebody I get the whole “his age doesn’t fit this team’s timeline” thing. I’ve raged against that because literally zero percent of good teams in the history of this game have had a roster made up entirely of players on the same development timeline.

I haven't been on here much but I am slightly amused that everyone got bored with calling for Housley's head so there's some looking for the extra pitchfork to take over to GMJB's residence. I'll be concerned with JB if Skinner walks. If Skinner walks all bets are off.

There's not much Housley can do the rest of this season that should save his job. Short of a run to the mid-90s he has to go. I was holding out on going there, but this is inexcusable hockey. I have no idea who should be the next coach. I literally do not give a ***** who coaches this team. I do not give a ***** who this team trades away excluding Eichel, Dahlin and Mittelstadt. Literally anyone else can go for any price. Just figure it out. I'll tune back in next year.

Go to an NBA game and look at the benches throughout the game. At some point you'll catch this same view with various players around the league. A lot of guys sit at the end to either get some medical attention, stretch out or whatever the hell else people that are good at sports do. Vince Carter once had two fans sit in between him and the rest of the team.

Shoot this franchise into the sun.

That's steep for those two. You're paying a premium when you should be buying low.

Toffoli and Kempe both make a good bit of sense for us. I’ve been wanting Toffoli for a while now - wanted him when LA was interested in Vanek. If you can get him for Guhle and like a 3rd I’d be very happy with it.

I would give two firsts for Toffoli and Dzingel “Move on”? No. Get good value for him if it’s out there? Sure. Eichel and Dahlin are the only two players that are “untouchable.” Maybe Mittelstadt.

Going back and watching the first Fast & Furious makes you realize it hasn’t been the same franchise for like four movies now. This is legit a superhero movie that they somehow decided to put in the F&F franchise world.

Report was that Burakovsky can likely be had for a couple mid-round picks (think 2nd/3rds) but I’m not giving Washington Nylander for him.

It’s for many reasons on both ends of the spectrum, I’d say. But I think I’m better off with the move. Will miss the access to my teams and people here, for sure.

For me, they’re both home. Buffalo currently but I’m moving to Charlotte next week so this all checks out.

Teams relying too heavily on first round picks in trades is where we’re at. The prospect is the most important piece. Give up in the pick department to get better prospects every time.

That’s a steal for Toronto. Grundstrom is a decent but not great prospect.

I think judging entire drafts months in advance as opposed to years afterward is the silliest exercise in sports.

Bruce Irvin once literally said during a postgame interview he was signing with Atlanta and only wanted to go to Atlanta then ended up signing with Oakland over the Falcons. Also Antonio Brown isn’t free to choose where he plays. That said, I don’t think he’s coming here. I think the 49ers are a good spot for him, too.

I don’t understand what you mean by “I’m just talking about the cost.” You can say “what’s the difference” between what they gave for Skinner and your proposal for Staal without considering the asset you’re targeting. That’s not how this works.

I don’t know much about the TEs other than Noah Fant who would be a steal in the second but likely won’t be there. The only worry I have is whether or not he would want to be here... at all. We’d likely have to give 9 to get him.
