  1. I said almost this exact thing in the first post. As @nfreeman will tell you I’m an expert who never says the exact same thing as the OP without reading OP.
  2. If there’s one big positive thing from this season it’s how much people have forgotten about Rasmus Dahlin. That’s a weird way to phrase it but the hype on this kid was absolutely next level. Hall of Fame defenseman was the read from every scout. And... he’s living up to what you’d expect from an 18-year-old future Hall of Famer. I feel like so many people, myself included, just kind of put Dahlin in a corner and accepted “okay he’s great what else can we talk about?” But we should be absolutely out of our minds hyped about this kid’s future still. He’s already over a 0.5 PPG defenseman which is a good gauge for very good offensive defenseman IN THEIR PRIME. He’s not 19 yet. Tyler Myers in 09 was the last 41+ point defenseman not named Rasmus for this franchise.
  3. We’re all in agreement he’s going to “test the market” at least, right?
  4. $$$$$$$$ I also think the drop off to next year will be massive. Take the top job when you can get it.
  5. Their success in the MAC is only a recent thing. They wouldn’t drown in a bigger conference for a while most likely. That and having football makes it nearly impossible for them to find a better conference fit.
  6. Oats will be gone soon if he’s smart. This UB team is incredibly entertaining. Bonnies one win from the dance, as well. An unbelievable coaching job by Mark Schmidt this season.
  7. I’ll be in Atlanta visiting a friend later this week actually.
  8. I don’t know if it’s an accident as much as it’s a calculated mistake.
  9. Most people around here would describe me as a tragedy behind a tragedy. I appreciate that, though. I can only imagine the emotions of my mother.
  10. I’ve never had one. Planned to do it in Buffalo and never got to it. Yes, in Western New York lol but haven’t gotten it here yet.
  11. As someone who just left Buffalo for Charlotte there are a lot of things Buffalo does better. Food is the obvious one. The food here isn’t great. The people of Buffalo are also more genuine from my experiences so far. But the weather is still exponentially better to this point and for me that’s a huge difference maker. For others it may not be.
  12. Ever heard of cheese? Joking aside, the “what can you do elsewhere that you can’t do here” argument means absolutely nothing. It’s about how well it is done and there aren’t a ton of things Buffalo universally does better than other cities.
  13. My heart breaks for Evander. My twin was a miscarriage. Several months premature. Doctors didn’t actually know my mom was pregnant with twins until several weeks later when she was still dealing with symptoms of pregnancy. They told her it was probably just the stress and her body’s confusion until they did another scan and boom, there I was.
  14. I only read headlines.
  15. Correct. I’m talking going into the lottery. We can go up or down depending on those results.
  16. This is all subjective obviously but I absolutely adore Milwaukee. I also think Pittsburgh is a large leap better than Buffalo. I don’t know about KC and I despise Philly.
  17. Milwaukee >>>>> Buffalo
  18. I don’t know if anyone actually looked at the standings and broke it down in here but chances are the highest this team can possibly get in the lottery is fifth. The lowest is probably 12/13. They’re currently at 8.
  19. I do believe the losing culture is equal or more important in this team’s inability to secure good players as the city itself. But it’s still embarrassing to the city until the narrative changes. It may never. Also, Green Bay is an hour and a half from Milwaukee.
  20. I don’t think Pittsburgh has felt any embarrassment through the process. The stories franchise dodged those bullets somehow despite two supremely talented players forcing their way out. I think it’s been this way because people didn’t like Bell or Brown and the way they handled it. That and there were no sudden moments throughout it all. It was a long, drawn-out process.
  21. Funny thing is they actually met several new signings at the airport with wings.
  22. I don’t care what it was. It’s an embarrassing situation for the team and the city no matter how much truth lies in the reports or the insults that followed.
  23. I didn’t want Golden Tate. Especially not after who we added knowing the contract Tate would require. I would have been ecstatic if we had dealt our first and third plus a player (assuming safety then either is fine) for OBJ. I would’ve lost my mind. I lost my mind when the AB report happened. I’d give even more for Julio. I wouldn’t give that much for AJ because of his injury history and his contract situation.
  24. Golden Tate signed with the Giants so that’s the final noteworthy WR off the board.
  25. Do you mean in free agency/trades or draft too? Because if they go into the season with this WR corps it’s still one of the worst in the league.
