I never watched trailers or teasers or read anything promoting something I know I’m going to watch. Too many spoilers in everything. A trailer is a spoiler.

I read nothing and watched zero trailers was still let down. But really it’s not unexpected. I still think the season is going to be great.

I might be wrong here, but I don't think Chris Taylor is a viable candidate for the job unless the team gets turned down by just about everybody else. Just from a resume standpoint and what Botterill has been saying.

According to just about everybody Tavares had a tough time turning down San Jose and Tampa Bay, too.

The chances of all four of them being off the board is very slim.

Apparently he hadn’t even formally interviewed with the Kings when this was reported. It’s annoying how easily sports reporters (okay, all reporters) get so easily used.

Everyone thought Tampa would wipe the floor with Columbus. Not many people believed in the Isles. Dallas wasn’t expected to make much noise vs Nashville. Colorado has made it hard on Calgary. The Sabres first task is to be good enough to get in. Once you’re in anything can happen.

I’ll give the episode a 5/10. I expected no action because there’s a lot to setup but it was almost entirely useless. Honestly would’ve been a 2 or 3 if it weren’t for the “it had its moments” comment and the encounter at the very end. The Dragon riding was corny as hell. Honestly some scenes had week CGI (the scene where Jon is getting ready to get on the dragon was really poorly edited). The reunions were all bland.
