nobody gave up on him. he was a part of a deal to acquire a talented, young center. just because you trade somebody doesn't mean you gave up on them. in fact, i think they had big plans for compher.
in what world is a song representative of the entire country? i think the u.s. sucks for reasons not related to the anthem. i also think blind faith and support to any group is destructive. i would go to great lengths to support veterans who i know personally to be great people who served well even if i will never support any war.
EDIT: as to not derail the thread please pm if you have any further questions. thank you.
chris taylor can go to another ahl team but he’s certainly not getting phone calls from any nhl clubs aside from maybe an assistant job. i have no worries about this. taylor should know he’s done nothing to warrant consideration.
We’ve gone down this road in acquiring Kane, trading Kane, acquiring O’Reilly, trading O’Reilly, arguably acquiring Montour... this team has been telegraphing its moves for years now. I think Risto is out.
I'm in the "the next coach should have no connections to Buffalo hockey" as much as I'm in the "I don't care who the next coach is for the most part" camp which is an interesting place. Lindy Ruff interests me zilch.
I'm curious what type of price it would take to land him. I imagine they'd insist on Risto if they like him. I know a lot has changed but they were one of the teams hot for Scandella when he was being shopped in Minnesota. Yes, I know you're not getting Kessel for Scandella but just noting the prior interest.
Maybe they look to attach a salary to him which might lower the price to McCabe or Scandella and a prospect/pick.
Why is it an issue? He's in the playoffs and literally nothing is happening right now. If it kills some of the talk about tonight's games then that'd be a bummer but otherwise who cares.
