this is the tattoo i got before leaving buffalo. bobcat for my high school, wolf for my college, buffalo for the first city i made a home in. saving the other forearm for the potential of the half sleeve that i haven’t even kind of figured out yet. i’ve already got “plans” for a few others but haven’t set up appointments yet.
-
for those with sleeves: where did you start with your design? i’ve been considering a half sleeve for a while but just don’t see how i’d be filling the space

oliver isn’t an “edge” player nor was he designated as such. he’s a defensive tackle through and through. after mike trout mlb draft analysts started using “five-tool” a ton more. it’s not the media trying to sound smart, it’s the media learning something and adapting. something it’s not good at as a whole.
-
i love when old people stopped learning several decades ago.
-
okay, thanks for your contribution.
-
no. this really isn’t complicated. “edge” players are the only players whose position will change depending on the scheme they’re drafted into. OLB in 3-4, DE in a 4-3. there are offensive lineman who might play a different position depending on how certain teams view them but they’re listed as whatever their most likely position is in the league because it’s not as simple as “this or that” in those cases.
-
okay, so who has them? what do they mean to you? i have one thus far that i won’t share at the moment (wow, i started the thread but won’t share!? blasphemy!) but am planning on getting several more.
-
because those positions haven’t evolved. the role of what is now called an edge rusher has evolved.
-
my assumption is “edge” comes from within scouting circles and came to the media through speaking with said scouts, seeing the way they rank players and also scouts who became members of the media.
-
nor have i ever seen his little “source” tweets bear any fruit
-
i’ve seen it over the last few years. all it means is they’re an OLB in a 3-4 or DE in a 4-3.
-
i definitely want people to continue posting anything and everything coming from reputable reporters on the sabres front but this is still accurate. and the ultimate end result is, even if we don’t mind the final hire, we likely have a bit of a bad taste about the search. even if it’s just subconsciously bad feelings linger. it’s like when you get these stupid draft grades early. a ton of people hated the running back pick for the bills and they won’t remember that much if he has a great career in buffalo, but the negative feeling still happened senselessly and will live on.
-
yea, this all has me feeling more confident in my frustrations. a lot of good points.

if you’re creating something you know will be consumed by the masses you should probably consider the “common consumer.” but it’s become very clear that they didn’t create something anybody actually needed to see. having slightly better sight on the fighting isn’t opening my eyes to anything. the idea was to hide it.

i’m rewatching now on my own tv and they appeared to be darker than metal so i’m thinking they were dragon glass. also, it’s still too dark but it’s not nearly as dark on my tv.

i expected people to die there and elsewhere. they’ve got a massive bank of characters. also, the answers to some questions no longer matter. i sort of expect that if they do unveil the night king’s identity it will be bran admitting he was the night king since he said that dagger would kill him one day.

there was certainly a lot of tension, but, for me, that tension feels like it was created from the hype and the “let’s push jamie against a wall with five zombies on top of him but not have him suffer any wounds” kinda stuff. the score was absolutely brilliant, at least. jon’s role in the episode was also very good from start to finish.

i’m struggling with a lot of how this was hyped and how it ended up. a solid chunk of the fight scene was just darkness and sound effects which doesn’t get me anywhere. the dragon fight scene was fantastic except for the part where it was never made clear which dragons did or didn’t survive.

the more i think about this the worse it gets. we never got to see the night king fight a ***** thing. was he actually ever good at anything other than throwing a spear and raising the dead? we never got to see any of the night king’s main henchmen fight. we never learned who the night king is and it’s irrelevant now. everyone of consequence survived. it took a throw from the left field wall to tag the night king out at home in the bottom of the 9th. (also, how did literally nobody stop arya considering they were surrounded?)

nope. zero integral characters died in the “longest fight scene in cinematic history.” yeehaw. it also holds the record for “worst lighting in cinematic history.”

did i think arya would die? no. did i think the night king would die? yes. i’m easy to please when it comes to tv and cinema (tho i connect strongly with only a few shows/movies) and this just didn’t get there for me. they basically fudged the numbers on the whole “longest fight scene” thing.

i didn’t have a single holy ***** moment in that episode. the only unpredictable thing was the lack of important deaths.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Hoss replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
did you watch age of ultron? you’re the first person i’ve seen have a negative overall feeling for the movie. which is fine.
