If players get COVID because they broke the rules, should the game be postponed? Seems like they should have to play taxi squad players, personally

Team looks alright huh. Panic paused for now

We went 8-2 in our opening ten last year. I'm not sure how you start a season has a ton of bearing on how you finish. I remember a recent champion team was last in the league at one point before winning it all that season.

lol the way people lose their mind - we are two games into a season and in one of those games we dominated but still lost. We could easily be at 1-1, or even 2-0. No need for panic yet. I agree the Skinner stuff is a bit odd. But also remember it is as much building for the future as it is now. Maybe Dahlin and Mountour aren't great together. However, both are playing poorly individually with basic hockey. That will skew the stats. And maybe in 10 games they are a dominant force on the ice, such that for 46 games its worth the 10 of pain

If we end up with the second best defenceman to ever play the game, I don't think we should consider it a consolation prize 😛

Yeah special teams haven't been good - but it is still only 2 games in after 10 months without hockey. I think Ulmark is fine and played a good game and made some nice saves. I do have concerns about Hutton. Let's hope RK/team leadership can keep the finger pointing and bad vibes out and they'll pull together and dig in as a team rather than divide

I've really liked his game so far. Muscled off the puck a bit too easily, but he has a good nose for where to be and has some good moxie to want to try and win battles.

He went from 0.536 to 0.678 points per game last year. He didn't regress.

Come on man. This is two games in and we played a dominant game. They didn't kick us in the balls, we played a much better game than them. Sometimes the better team loses. We won ten games in a row winning them basically all in overtime. We didn't make the playoff offs that year. Give me a dominant team and they won't win every time, but over 50+ games they will win enough.

Dahlin is also responsible. He has miss played the puck repeatedly. This isn't just coaching. But it's only a few games, after a 10 month hiatus. So I am not too worried yet.

Hockey is a funny game and the lesser team doesn't always lose. Want a good example? Last night. The Sabres dominated and didn't win. At this stage in the season I care far more about how we are playing than what the results are. I get that a win is a win, but fluky wins won't make for a successful season in the long run. I want the Sabres to dominate the game, and from there the wins will flow.

I think Jack had some pretty wobbly moments too. Also made some magical passes but was not was dominant as usual or as we need. Dahlin looked bad. Number of bad plays. Staal - woof. Risto looked good. Not a perfect game but some very nice plays. Cozens and his line both looked good. Hutton - did he make one big save? Overall I didn’t hate the game. We looked very rusty and with mis-timings. Expect better today - 6:2 win

Looking at the Flames roster - there is no one I really want over Sam and their goalie has pretty mediocre stats. I hope Miller is the centre piece of the trade (obviously with significant add from us)
