  1. It took NE 2 plays to get to where they'd have started if TEN went for it and failed. I can't freaking believe Vrabel punted.
  2. Rosen clearly stinks, but looking at what Tannehill has done away from Adam Gase, it's possible Darnold might be okay (though I remain highly skeptical of him). As for Mayfield, I have no idea what happened this season other than Kitchens was clearly so in over his head I though he might actually drown on the field. And though I certainly agree Brown isn't a #1, he was 7th among AFC WRs in yards this year in a weak passing offense. I think he's generally underappreciated just because he's not an ideal #1.
  3. Fair and fair. Meanwhile, Mike Vrabel punting from the NE 37 because he doesn't want to win.
  4. The Bills offense was 22nd in DVOA this season. The offense scored more than 2 TDs three times this season in 17 games, including today's 1 TD performance. The QB today had 1 TD on a trick play, 5.7 YPA, 41.6 QBR, and a complete meltdown against the *squints* the 26th ranked defense by DVOA. And it's "completely and utterly amazing" that there are concerns? It's absolutely not all on him, but your take here is comically obtuse.
  5. I'm as pessimistic as anyone at the moment, but I think the only way McBeane gets the axe is if Allen clearly doesn't improve and they stick with him a couple years too long. I used to think they wouldn't get a 2nd QB given what they gave up to get Allen, but 2 playoffs in 3 years is likely enough to buy them another kick at the can if they have to take it.
  6. Nice to conveniently omit, on that very drive, he literally was a heads-up OL arm bat away from tossing the game away. I'm not sure he's a bust, but all of the pre-draft qualities people were rightly concerned about were fully on display. Some players grow out of their bad qualities, others don't (I'm lookin' at you, Jameis Winston). He has 100% improved and shown enough to earn another season, but to come away from this game shocked and appalled that people would question whether he's the guy is freaking hilarious. The first drive was perfect, and over the next 10, we scored 3 FGs. But yes, it's totally unbelievable that people might be concerned about the QB.
  7. It shouldn't be. The standard should be undisputed top-10 (ideally top-5) QBing, not simply better than the likes of Edwards, Losman, Manuel, and Tyrod. Did you watch him implode in the second half? He didn't single-handedly lose the game, but he sure tried. He had his moments during the game as well where you see his talent, but you can't believe that people would be questioning him? C'mon man. As I said to PA, nobody's opinion is going to change from this game because everyone has a grab bag of "fun" to pick from to defend their perspective. Given that, I'd rather focus on the offense as a whole: feel free to blame whoever you want (or you can do the right thing, and blame all involved), but they need to consistently score more points. I posted this before, but Green and a 1st round WR makes a lot of sense to me.
  8. All of this. There's a lot of blame to spread around with this one, but the bottom line is you can't expect to win a lot of playoff games when your offense is scoring 1 TD per game on the regular. Those FG drives need to end in the endzone a few times.
  9. This game won't change anyone's mind on Allen, though.
  10. Yup. It was a complete collapse across the board.
  11. I never want to hear defense wins championships again. If we don't spend 7 draft picks and $80 million on our offense this offseason we're insane.
  12. Our defense picked a bad time to be coached by Rex Ryan. What a horrible 3rd down.
  13. Did we seriously just throw a bomb to....the fullback?
  14. I mean, he hit the FG, but it was still a horrid sequence for all involved.
  15. Those last 2 play calls were an OC who didn't trust his QB. 100% should have tried to get 6ish over the middle and spiked it.
  16. I don't know why that 3rd down was the first time we used the middle of the field. We had time and it's been open.
  17. I get playing for the FG (though would have hated it), but once you're at a 59 yarder with our kicker, your options are go for it or punt.
  18. He's self destructing and we still could win. Unreal.
  19. Well, I don't think McDermott anticipated his QB would take consecutive terrible sacks. Like, he literally spun into that second one. He rolls to his right, he escapes.
  20. Neither can I. I'm captain "GO FOR IT" but I feel 4th and 27 is basically impossible to get. You have 3 TOs, should've punted.
  21. That sequence is probably a little awkward for those who have already anointed Allen as the franchise.
  22. Did we seriously just run Gore on an outside zone? Right? As if Watson hasn't completely put the team on his back. If we play it "safe" and play for the FG instead of a first down I may fly to Houston and murder the coaching staff.
  23. This is a time where I wish I believed in Josh Allen. We need a TD here.
