I don't think saying the votes are complicit in racism is vilification either, but I think your earlier posts about "a vote for Trump is a vote for racism" is. I'm also meaning to get back and reply to a bunch of stuff, but the conversation moved at light speed and I fell hopelessly behind :lol: Edit: Not that I think Trump is likely to follow suit, but it's worth noting Lyndon Johnson was a southern segregationist as a Texas senator, then went on to sign into law the most significant civil rights legislation in this country's history as president.

Qwk, have you ever been in a situation where your very way of life (to say nothing of your family's) was at stake if you weren't bringing home a quality paycheck? I think Trump is every bit as detestable as you do, and I am quite concerned about the consequences of this campaign for the future of politics in this nation. This is even one of those spots where I think those on the right could help move the conversation forward if they'd confront it rather than deny. But it shouldn't be too difficult to imagine people who put other things first. Not everyone has the luxury of worrying about these things, and those people who have real world survival concerns shouldn't, by default, be vilified.
