  1. Results are great, but the team isn't just sneaking by on luck and guys they don't anticipate being around long term. Namely, Tage and Dahlin are leading the 5 Sabres on the ice with them to ice-tilting shifts no matter who they play against. This is very bullish. Unlike "Tagecoin" Tuch bothers me sometimes lol. Not the best time to post this after he wins the game for us, but if I was a video scout for the Sabres I probably would have pushed that trade in another direction. I still would rather have him than have nobody of course, and think he can play a role on a good Sabres team as well as being great for the locker room, I'm just talking about on-ice mannerisms that happen to drive me nuts sometimes Cozens had 2 opportunities where he NEEDED to get off the ice in OT, after he had already been gassed. He thought he was being a good teammate sticking it out, but in 3 on 3, that is a very bad decision and he is lucky it didn't cost them. If any of the early/mid Eichel teams that still had ROR, received the night-in-night-out goaltending that this team has for stretches, those teams could have worked out. It's that important, and so it's important for Kevyn to make sure that the Sabres can get 82 games of standard NHL goaltending. It's nice when goaltending is an afterthought when watching the games because they're usually up to the task of matching the other team's guy, letting the skaters decide the game themselves. Samuelsson is going to be our Colton Parayko or Nick Hjalmarsson
  2. The Tage line is buzzing, as usual #thingsineverthoughtidsay
  3. Tyreek and Mahomes were cheat code puzzle pieces. Mahomes' play extension allowed tyreek to shake free pretty much anywhere on the field. Neither player will be quite as good now that they are separate, though both are still elite
  4. One more bedtime story, tell me what the spring of 2004 was like! Seriously, similar vibes to this?
  5. I love that it goes to the tenths place.
  6. "Dahlicious" sucks but would have been more forgivable had it been used as an adjective, "well that was dahlicious!" But he just said "Rasmus dahlicious wins the game" or whatever, it served as his last name Much worse the way he used it
  7. So you're saying they sent Kulak to do backbreaking labor in a hopeless, unforgiving frozen tundra ?
  8. Happy that @dudacek gets a nice night with his wife, but I hope he has a way to watch this one back, because he appreciates Dahlin like few others do
  9. His smarts and hands were both on display for much of the night. Knows where to be
  10. The Sabres are attacking the slot...like good teams attack the slot...
  11. The team can give sufficient experience to Krebs while still operating with a mindset 100% bent on winning the shift, period, and game in front of them. In fact, the team won't start winning UNTIL they do this. Krebs will grow and learn lessons either way, nobody wants him getting 6 minutes a game on the 4th line Pasta didn't become Pasta being forcefed shifts to the detriment of the team, he learned by winning and slowly earning every single inch
  12. Puck movement definitely isn't his selling point but he's competent enough that it's not usually an issue. Krebs is hemorrhaging right now
  13. Tuch needs to bring his shot down a bit, he hasn't been close
  14. there exists some amount of time after which by definition there is not conclusive evidence
  15. How the hell was that flailing Dahlin pass right on Thompson's stick lol. That guy is pretty crazy Mayb not dahlin?
  16. A slight slip at the end nonetheless, that was one of the most technically sound periods we've seen this team play in a long time. They looked like well-coached playoff teams do when they are focused and present. Excellent defensive gaps, alert reads, strong forechecking, effort in all directions.
