Treading carefully, I'll just say that there are more looks and different options with Casey in that spot over his predecessor. He did a good job. So did Dahlin.
It is negligent that Risto's teammates and coaching staff let him continue to use the stick that puts his team in compromising situations every single game
And Skinner has been strong. But he has to pass it to a teammate once in a while.
Yeah, it's luck that he got the bounce/screen that particular time, but the reason that he and other NHLers can get it anywhere close and have a reasonable chance at tucking the post is because of thousands of hours of repetition and work over their whole lives
It's amazing how just being a vet, no matter how bad you are, can improve stuff from a (bad) rookie.
Like, knowing your reads, and making them, and then dumping it off. It's fun to see a Bills QB, however bad, do that basic stuff.
I was talking about the Eich one - I thought it was a good and accurate shot, but that Quick made the save, but now maybe the shot actually missed the net.
You should stay off the main boards at hfboards, nobody knows anything about each others' teams but they all think they know everything about them.
The Sabres one isn't good either. It's downright toxic. If people think this place is too negative, they should make sure that site never enters their address bar.
And FTR, I think Eich will be a better hockey player as soon as he's that 90 point player we all know he can be. But until he's actually shown it and made it happen, I give the guy that scores the same amount and will be in Selke conversations the rest of his career the edge. And I know that Jack at his age is much better, which is why I've always said I'd still take Jack over him. I'm just talking about this instant in time snapshot of them as players.
I have to wonder why Risto, who has a rich history of his play deteriorating due to fatigue from playing a stupid amount of minutes, got 26 last night when the game was completely in control and we had to play again the following day. If there was any time to scale up and get Bogosian and Dahlin more involved, spreading the minutes and reducing the wear and tear on our shutdown pair that's already in over their heads recently, it was when we were up by 4 goals.
