  1. Housley's quote sounds like he knew that continuing to try to stickhandle through the Preds' NZ trap thing wasn't going to work, but that the players didn't really go for the alternative. Which is good news in the "Housley-adjustments" department.
  2. Pleeeeeeeease McCabe hates the leafs as much as Jack and all of us
  3. On the other hand, if the Bills thread here is all you read for Josh Allen takes, his career was over last October and we're just wasting time right now until we figure that out. It's also fairly incredible, in that none of the Allen optimists described are in here, while the balance of all Allen posts (including early ones by me) indicate that, without substantial changes he's toast I'm mostly exaggerating, but I also turned on WGR after the game and heard a lengthy discussion about how Allen needs to throw the last ball better, and fans in agreement.
  4. And there are games in which our players make a fair number more good/fewer bad plays than the other team. And if anyone thinks this was us in the Nashville game, respectfully, I cannot understand what they were looking at.
  5. Nobody has time to read all of the posts on a message board, but I've absolutely been enjoying this season, and have made lots of posts talking about it. Including in the GDT of the Tampa game. But I also can tell when we are not on the same level as another team, and will post as much, just like I was posting about how the first Boston game that we lost 4-0 was a pretty encouraging game while the titanic sank around us. It's not about a mindset. We worked hard. Some guys made good plays. More guys were overwhelmed than that, and Nashville carried the play because of it. Making that observation in what is hopefully a calm and rational manner is not unreasonable. It's not like the 3 game losing streak is making me toss the season or anything
  6. We have to be nice and send good vibes to the Yotes until they formally submit the 14 mil offersheet to Matthews.
  7. From your fingers to Botterill's fax machine to Phil's ears Despite Okposo's game yesterday, his muscle and abilities relative to Elie could very well mesh with ERod and Sobotka.
  8. Or people are actually capable of analyzing a hockey game and aren't hopelessly blinded by their team loyalty to the point of easy predictability. We were outclassed in Tampa too. Which is fine, because these two teams outclass everyone right now. But it still happened
  9. I'm proud, because WC is older than me by a year or two Lolllllllllllllll bye
  10. I can mathematically model the properties of far-field radiation due to a small oscillating source, breaking the radiation into terms represented by electric and magnetic dipoles, electric quadrupoles, etc. because of JD Jackson But I am about as good at actually building/doing things with technology as the large rock outside my window is The Bart, the
  11. I'm pretty sure that's gen Z talk. Which is actually what I probably am by definition
  12. The arena is going to be uuuuuuuuugly tonight. I wonder if NBCSN is going to cheat the Sabres fans out for the third game in a row with the other team's announcers on a "national" broadcast. What a joke that is. ***** you, NBCSN. The Sabres show up for these games and this one is going to be intense and exciting, and after three losses in a row, really needs to be a win. Is it Nylander's first game?
  13. The good thing is that we won't need the Sabres to look like the Predators until we're ready for deep runs. The Predators didn't start looking like the Predators until 2 years ago
  14. I'm going to start grabbing video of these, and maybe you or someone can tell me what he's doing wrong 75% of the time. I'm seeing him getting thrown out before twitching a muscle now. And he's not the only one getting thrown out without twitching a muscle. I counted no less than ten shifts by the predators in the offensive zone that were never close to being recreated by the Sabres in terms of team's hockey ability. And the offensive zone was where the Predators played the worst of the three zones last night. You're right, I think we were watching different games!
  15. What's going to be exciting about tomorrow: The Sabres always show up to play the Leafs. The Leafs cannot do defensively what Nashville did tonight, and we'll probably see a lot of offensive chances, and maybe some goals if Andersen is off. What's going to be sad about tomorrow: Andersen is almost never off this year and the Leafs are ludicrously dangerous, and I have a feeling it's going to be the worst their fans have taken over our building in a long time judging by what Minnesota looked like a couple nights ago
  16. Not worried about the score or the result. Frustrated with the hockey being played. Want a 2C. Crazy how addicting success is
  17. If Skinner was right handed...
  18. This game has not been difficult for Nashville to play. The way they've squashed our chances with impunity is mildly embarrassing
  19. It is impressive how quickly Okposo managed to lose that puck. I'm being impressed by all of the wrong things tonight You're also forgetting to mention their 50+ point 2C and 30 goal winger Arvidsson
  20. It is comical how stuffed to the edges our o-zone play has to be.
  21. It's mostly because we played Tampa and Nashville, with the Florida game coming 24 hours after Tampa's. Mostly. There's some bad stuff going on too. But those two teams are just flat out on a different tier of ability.
  22. Yeah...the Pilut decision paid off. What a shift. Tage, you're playing like an idiot.
  23. The Mitts line is the worst it's been since before the win streak.
